I know I’m being nosey but

My neighbours sit in their garden from 10am until 9pm in her pjs. I think they’re married. Around early 30’s. The woman doesn’t work (ever since I moved here years ago) the guy is at home at the mo with all this Covid. They don’t have any kids and she is always bossing him around and doing 90% of the talking from What I overhear.

I just find it strange.

That definitely is strange just the pyjama but though. Maybe one day at a push in jomjams but not all the time. I reckon sub/dom!

DaphneFanshaw · 15/06/2020 22:37

Do you ever see her in proper clothes op ?

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 15/06/2020 22:39

How do you know she doesn't t work. She could work from home.

DaphneFanshaw · 15/06/2020 22:40

Maybe she’s a pyjama tester...

Raella50 · 15/06/2020 22:40

Even when it’s really awful weather? Sitting on the garden in the pouring rain in pyjamas for 11 hours??

Namechangecringe · 15/06/2020 22:43

I’m often in the garden in pjs, I also get my husband to do stuff. I have a mix of invisible chronic conditions and you wouldn’t know this unless I told you.

SpillTheTeaa · 15/06/2020 22:43

You're so judgemental and rude. Firstly commenting on what she does and doesn't do which has nothing to do with you. Then you insult her clothes and how rank she is. Shame on you. I feel really sorry for you that putting others down and bitching about them makes you feel better. Are you okay? Is your life really that dull?

CountreeGurl · 15/06/2020 22:44

It sounds odd to me! I would be curtain twitching too...

Canalhouse · 15/06/2020 22:48

I notice my neighbours and am always intrigued by some of the odd stuff they get up to. Though it’s a very dodgy neighbourhood so there’s a lot going on - drug dealers, a leery old bloke who sits on a knackered pleather armchair in his porch area and ogles every female who passes , a guy who runs a car repair service from his driveway, a woman who seems to think she was in Cambodia at the time of Pol Pot but I have my doubts, a teenage girl who moved her boyfriend in with her family despite the fact that these are one bed flats. God knows how they all fit in there. Then there’s the guy who rents his flat but is engaged to a woman about 20 miles away and he rarely lives here but still pays rent and is around here a lot. There’s a few gambling addicts that meet up to put bets on the horses and to watch any other sport they are betting on. There’s a woman and a daughter, the latter who has some OCD and stops stock still on the pavement for about a minute after she’s taken a few steps. Getting up the roads takes forever. Very sad. There are so many strange and interesting things going down almost every day. In these times of being stuck at home, I’ve been tryIng to keep up with all the comings and goings. I feel like I could write a book. Spending all day in your garden in your PJs and talking at someone would be entirely normal round here OP.

BrummyMum1 · 15/06/2020 23:00

It's a pandemic, anything goes. I've been living in pjs.

Fartlek · 15/06/2020 23:01

Oh, come on people. Give the OP a break!
I've noticed a lot of weirdness about my neighbours over the past 3 months. It makes me curious. It's very normal.
OP, we have a neighbour who goes out for little walks around the corner and back every 30 min (or did before covid). DH is convinced she's a drug dealer. I think she's just a secret smoker. We call her Faggy McFagerson.

ATomeOfOnesOwn · 15/06/2020 23:02

She's probably ill. I know my DSIS spent a lot of time sitting in her garden when she was having treatment and then recovering from cancer.

Allsorts2020 · 15/06/2020 23:03

@SpillTheTeaa U sound emotional. I’m purely stating what I’m observing. Yes it’s none of my business but I’m merely stating what I see. It’s weird and that’s that

Ontheboardwalk · 15/06/2020 23:05

I’ve started a petition to make pyjama bottoms acceptable office wear when we go back to the office. I’ve got 5 signatures up to now.

Pyjamas are the future

WoollyHeadedMammoth · 15/06/2020 23:08

Too many possibilities - she could be working remotely for a company in another time zone and her hours don't start til after 21.00. She could be an heiress, or living off of royalties from a best-selling novel or successful film career. She could be a deep-cover spy, assigned to watch her unsuspecting husband to break him down and get his gardening secrets.

You could make friends with them and report back. Or slip him a U OK HON? note with instructions on how many eye blinks for YES or NO.

Inkpaperstars · 15/06/2020 23:10

Well it takes all sorts OP, you of all people should know that.

CrazyTimesAreOccurring · 15/06/2020 23:11

@SeasonFinale that's so funny!! Actually getting on a step ladder to have a good old nosey Grin

OP yanbu, Im not sure what's to be judgey about it but 11hours in your pj's? There's no demarcation of time, it just doesn't sit right with me Grin

borntohula · 15/06/2020 23:12

They both wear her pyjamas?

maddy68 · 15/06/2020 23:14

The only think I'm finding strange is your judgement of them. Why does it matter to you ? Why are you watching them?

notangelinajolie · 15/06/2020 23:14

Sounds like me and DH. Loving lockdown. Thanks for thinking we were in our 30's Grin

WhitbyGoth · 15/06/2020 23:16

Well she must see you sit there looking at her too, so are we to assume you do nothing either?

rosegoldwatcher · 15/06/2020 23:16

I've noticed a lot of weirdness about my neighbours over the past 3 months. It makes me curious. It's very normal.

Notice all you like but don't start an internet discussion about it! FFS is there nothing on TV tonight?

OhYeahYouSuck · 15/06/2020 23:16

Well you're not doing anything either if you have time to watch them in their garden whilst timing them every day.

ThunderCrack · 15/06/2020 23:35

I look able bodied but am unable to work

I haven't got dressed for 100 days in lockdown.
I sit in the garden often.

Not us though, as we dont have neighbors over looking us, and christ, im glad.

Why should anyone judge me ?

JaneJeffer · 15/06/2020 23:36

It is strange.
