I live near a huge shopping centre.

DH thinks it'll be quiet. I think it'll be packed. Who do you think is right?

Sparklesocks · 14/06/2020 22:12

I think it could go either way, but yes there will probably be people very keen to get in there.

LatteLover12 · 14/06/2020 22:13

I think it will be packed. Look at the queues that formed when McDonald's opened their drive throughs.

Thingsthatgo · 14/06/2020 22:15

Packed.

tiredanddangerous · 14/06/2020 22:15

Very busy I should think.

TheoriginalLEM · 14/06/2020 22:15

I'm.on team DP people will be reticent I think. I don't enjoy shopping at the best of times and the thought of awkward, failing attempts at social distancing and ridiculous queues does not exactly fill me with excitement.

TweetUsOnFacebook · 14/06/2020 22:17

I have a teen who is itching to go to her favourite stores so I think it will be busy.
We won't be going though, we can hang on a bit longer.

Stannisbaratheonsboxofmatches · 14/06/2020 22:17

I think it’ll be packed.

I personally won’t be going anywhere near!

JacobReesMogadishu · 14/06/2020 22:17

Packed.

Sports direct opened up today just for nhs staff and there was a 2hr queue at my local one!

ItsInTheShed · 14/06/2020 22:18

packed!!

i'm in 'essential' retail so been open a while, but we are incredibly busy.....people come in 'just to get out for a bit'

Doingtheboxerbeat · 14/06/2020 22:19

Oh definitely, especially primark in my city and I envisage pictures in the local news of queues around the block. It will be full of mostly teenagers I imagine, wanting to spend their pocket money as not all of them want to buy clothes from asda etc.
If going alone, I would download something to watch on my phone.

ItsInTheShed · 14/06/2020 22:20

can i just say please be kind to all the retail staff tomorrow.....they will be nervous and will probably be a bit ott with the distancing as head office will be on the case!

we have taken a battering....the rudeness and abuse has been horrific

Hooleywhipper · 14/06/2020 22:20

Packed

vanillandhoney · 14/06/2020 22:21

Packed.

When McDonald's opened here, police had to shut the queues temporarily because of the chaos it caused!

PumpkinP · 14/06/2020 22:21

Packed

Mnthrowaway20202 · 14/06/2020 22:21

Obviously packed

Toothsil · 14/06/2020 22:22

I think it'll probably be packed.

MidsomerMum · 14/06/2020 22:22

Packed. As soon as people have been given something they are allowed to do, they’ve gone to do it - which I completely understand. However, I can’t think of anything worse than going shopping right now!

Iwantacookie · 14/06/2020 22:22

@jacob dont say that I need sports direct to return clothes been waiting ages and they're getting in my way now. Was hoping to offload them at 9am and be home in 10 minutes

xsquared · 14/06/2020 22:22

I went into town at 5 yesterday thinking it would be quiet for my daily stroll, but it was very busy despite only supermarkets and Boots being open.

I have a feeling that shops will be rammed tomorrow and there will be more queues.

PumpkinPie2016 · 14/06/2020 22:22

I think it will be packed.

When a McDonald's drive through opened near us,the police ended up closing it because the queue was causing mayhem on the bypass Shock

I'm not one for going wandering in shops normally so I won't be venturing. I usually just shop online.

Mnthrowaway20202 · 14/06/2020 22:25

The stores will have queues before they open

MorrisZapp · 14/06/2020 22:26

I thought Primark wasn't reopening yet?

Whatisthisfuckery · 14/06/2020 22:38

It will be hell. I’m not going anywhere near.

ComDummings · 14/06/2020 22:40

Yeah it’ll be rammed, I’ll give it a few weeks before I bother going to any shops. Not that I need to to be honest.

101stNC · 14/06/2020 22:54

I think it'll be packed, esp shops like Primark. I won't be going there anytime soon but I am hoping the charity shops local to me will be less busy as i have bags of donations to take which are getting in the way.
