jesswhitesocks · 14/06/2020 20:14

I want a cooler tone - not the orangy yellow I have at the moment- purple shampoo or not? Shall I take the risk? Meeting is at 12.00

You need this. You can get it on amazon. Best thing I've found for brassy blonde.

Mine was edging to yellow, this tones it down to an ashy blonde.

Please ask MN to change the title removing suicide reference as it is extremely insensitive. Nobody is going to care about your hair at the meeting. You are there to discuss business.

jesswhitesocks · 14/06/2020 20:18

Can I get away with it as it is? Confused

Purple shampoo won’t turn your hair pink so don’t worry.

louise5754 · 14/06/2020 20:20

Your title is Hmm

jesswhitesocks · 14/06/2020 20:20

@recycledbottle I have apologised for that it was just a turn of phase- I'll ask MN

She’s explained about the title.

GalwayGrowl · 14/06/2020 20:22

@jesswhitesocks It's good stuff, it's quite expensive but the best thing I've found. I use it once a week, it's a good conditioning treatment too.

Don't be alarmed at the colour when you squirt it out of the bottle, it's really blue. But leave it in for 10 mins and wash it out and it's great.

heidbuttsupper · 14/06/2020 20:24

Really bad choice of thread titie op

pogostick · 14/06/2020 20:25

Another vote for purple shampoo. I love the colour. Although I can understand the shock if it is very different from what you planned/expected.
Good luck with your presentation.

DishRanAwayWithTheSpoon · 14/06/2020 20:25

You want a toner not a purple shampoo. Your hair is not going to go from brown to ash blonde with one bleach without a toner or anything

Purple shampoo might help a bit but it can be very drying

It really doesnt look too bad, Id just throw it up in a bun with a hairband or something.

piccalilliLily · 14/06/2020 20:25

Mate, it doesn't look that different to Holly Willoughby's colour. It just looks shocking to you. If these people know you, you will get some 'wow's, but no more than if you'd drastically changed your cut - Waist length waves to pixie for example.

jesswhitesocks · 14/06/2020 20:26

I've asked MN to amend the title apologies once again

100% worth using a purple shampoo. Leave it on for 5 mins rinse, rough dry and see if it’s toned it down enough. If not wash again. I’ve had to do this myself before

lilgreen · 14/06/2020 20:36

Where do you get toner from? I thought it was only available to professionals.

lilgreen · 14/06/2020 20:37

If all else fails, put plenty of makeup on. It seems to help!

Al1Langdownthecleghole · 14/06/2020 20:39

Another vote for it looks fine. I always think my highlights look orange the first time I wash it and that’s after proper harirdresser colouring.

See what it looks like in the morning.

mumwon · 14/06/2020 20:39

Not that this is going to help! but I think very few people have fantastic hair at the moment - so unless your hair was bright pink with green ends I suspect that no one would give it a thought (from your picture it actually looks OK - you could bring it up as a self depreciating joke in your presentation - I bet their hair looks problematic - we had our first family distance meeting (for 6!!) today & it definitely came up as a subject - & how uncontactable their hairdresser (& barber in my ds case!) & how long the waiting list will be when they are all finally open

WingBingo · 14/06/2020 20:43

I use purple shampoo in lieu of a toner, it does work.

Bleach that someone posted a pic of earlier would work. Or the L’Oréal one, you’ll find that in a supermarket.

Just leave it on for 5 minutes. Good luck!

Bmidreams · 14/06/2020 20:44

Op, try a purple shampoo, but then just style it out until the hairdressers open again. It should only be a few more weeks. Don't mess with it again. It does seem fine from the pics.

rainbowlou · 14/06/2020 20:48

If you can get to Boots or Superdrug in the morning Bleach London White Toner is great 👍🏻
