Help!

Like an idiot I bleached my hair tonight- first time and it come out yellow!,!

I have a big presentation tomorrow in person- how do I sort my hair out by tomorrow afternoon?

I just want to tone down the yellow- would washing it a few times help?

Not sure where some of you live but at half seven on a Sunday the shops only open near me don’t have toner. OP could you message friends to see if anyone has purple shampoo etc you could use tonight?

GinDaddyRedux · 14/06/2020 19:43

Poor choice of words for the title OP for something so trivial. Yep I get its deliberate hyperbole etc, but not one I'd choose personally. Hope your hair crisis resolves itself..

Babymamaroon · 14/06/2020 19:43

I would tie it back and wear it with confidence! It looks fine and they probably won't notice.

Good luck for your presentation Smile

Freshair85 · 14/06/2020 19:43

Just as a super quick fix if you can't get hold of a toner beforehand then run a load of talc through your hair and it will lighten a bit and be a bit less yellow

IWantThatName · 14/06/2020 19:43

It really looks ok! But just brazen it out, and say you're going for a new look.

jesswhitesocks · 14/06/2020 19:45

Sorry I know it's seems trivial but I'm freaking out - tomorrow is a big day for me and my hair is yellow!

It doesn't even look that bad OP. Unless the pictures just aren't showing it properly.

madcatladyforever · 14/06/2020 19:46

it doesn't look too bad, own it with confidence, wear some flamboyant hair accessories as if you meant to do it, make it curly, whatever.
Nobody will think less of you.
I have 4 inches of roots from having no hairdresser for 3 months - nobody at work even noticed.

JemIsMyNameNooneElseIsTheSame · 14/06/2020 19:47

It looks fine. Just wash it with some purple shampoo and crack on.

mynamesmrdiggety · 14/06/2020 19:48

It's gorgeous in the second pic. If you really hate it put it back in a French plait with a hairband?

PrettyTricky · 14/06/2020 19:48

The second pic actually looks fine. Get a purple shampoo, some are better than others. The L'Oréal professional silver one is excellent. I hear good things about the Fanola one too. If you can only get supermarket purple shampoo then leave it on longer as it's not concentrated.

jesswhitesocks · 14/06/2020 19:48

Thank you all! The purple shampoo seems to have the biggest vote! I shall go to Sainsbury's in the morning - I dint have to be in till 12 - how long should I leave it in?

I've never bleaching my hair again!

It looks really nice in the second photo! I think people are very tolerant of the lockdown hair situation anyway, try and stop stressing.

LouLouLoo · 14/06/2020 19:49

Looks lovely in that second photo!

PyongyangKipperbang · 14/06/2020 19:51

I think that it looks lovely, it looks really natural. My cousins all have hair that colour and I wish I did, but I got to be our family's token ginger :o

TheoriginalLEM · 14/06/2020 19:51

I'm actuallyconsidering throwing myself off a bridge because i feel like everything coming down on me at once and I'm not coping. Could you maybe be a little bit more thoughtful with your thread title, o opened this prepared to offer sympathy.

Purple shampoo works, concentrate on the content of your presentation, that's what people are interested in.

QueSera · 14/06/2020 19:51

I think it looks lovely!

pollyhampton · 14/06/2020 19:51

That is pretty much my natural hair colour so I really wouldn't worry too much!

PyongyangKipperbang · 14/06/2020 19:52

What colour were you before? Its the shock that is making you think it looks awful, but honestly it really doesnt, I love it!

TheoriginalLEM · 14/06/2020 19:52

Oh and I've just seen your last picture - your hair looks lovely.

Have a grip, you can't have mine cos I've lost it

AmelieTaylor · 14/06/2020 19:53

Sorry. I'm struggling to see the problem. It looks ok in the first photo & beautiful in the second one. Honestly. I'm not just trying to make you feel better, it looks lovely

GinDaddyRedux · 14/06/2020 19:53

Flowers to you @TheoriginalLEM

mybowelshatepregnancy · 14/06/2020 19:54

Op no purple shampoo that you buy in a supermarket will be strong enough. You need a toner.

WorraLiberty · 14/06/2020 19:54

Your hair looks blonde, not 'yellow'.

It also looks lovely.

QueenOfPain · 14/06/2020 19:55

Purple or blue shampoo, available from most supermarkets and pharmacies these days.
