DH refuses to address builders bum issues

DH has always had a bit of an issue with ill fitting jeans/shorts and his bumcrack on show. It's been years and every time I mention it he says he doesn't care and I feel bad for saying something BUT I find it embarrassing and now the DC are getting older I am embarrassed for them as well - also I don't think it right that other people have to see his hairy bum crack hanging out.
He won't wear trousers that go over his belly so they fit badly. Obviously finding better fitting clothes is the answer but if he won't even consider putting it away then what should I do?!

I wish they would make it illegal.

I can't think he's going to be happy wearing a bodysuit/leotard-type garment. He's used to being halfway there already when going for a number two, so I doubt he'd be wanting the faff of either removing it entirely or otherwise reaching in at the side and unbundling himself from that when he needs a wee. It doesn't look like it comes fitted with poppers or a 'convenience hole' at the front, unless I'm mistaken.

You can tell from the picture that even the model is nervously pondering this conundrum and probably deciding not to use his staff discount to buy it after the shoot is finished.

I have a tall brother with next to no hips.
His crack is often out, but its not through choice, he wheres a belt, long tshirt, bigger boxers, sometimes he can't stop it.

SeaToSki · 15/06/2020 02:42

How about some braces ? 🤣🤣

Re the cleavage argument - society tells us that boobs are sexy, arses are dirty. Especially hairy ones Grin it's just not a good look and gives an ungroomed image. No different to going out having not showered in weeks and in filthy clothes imo.

WinterAndRoughWeather · 15/06/2020 02:55

Get him a pair of these as a compromise:

Breast cleavage is nothing like bum crack, don't understand the comparison. Unless you have some rather exotic kinks, breasts don't usually come into contact with shit. Arses do on a regular basis, even the most thorough wiper isn't able to get rid of all residue, germs etc.

To leave it hanging out imo shows a lack of respect for others, seeing an arse crack isn't pretty, some would find it offensive even. Its just good manners/respectful to keep bums and genitals covered. He wouldn't walk round with a testicle out for all to see, same should go for his arse, below the waist theres no need for either gender to have anything on show.

I really must be a slob because I couldn't care less if my DP/friend or whatever had a builders bum. I'm happy for people to dress how they like. Anyway, buy him some longer shirts or t-shirts if it offends you.

And yet, if it were breast cleavage, the response to people complaining that it's disgusting/inappropriate/should be covered up would be to tell them that it's none of their business how somebody else chooses to dress and that they shouldn't be looking in the first place....

@heartsonacake

YABU. His body, his choice how he clothes it.

He doesn’t get to tell you what to wear or what to cover up and you don’t get to tell him.

Not when his arse is literally hanging out, no.

Put things in it. I had a house mate who had a terrible builder's bum that I just kept putting things in (frozen pea, ice cube, small stone, rubber, chalk, pencil was my favourite!) She got the message and everyone is thankful.
