Men staring at my breasts

I'm just fed up of pretty much every man I pass on the street staring at my boobs. Angry Should I put up with this?

With the weather having been a little warmer, naturally I've wanted to wear things a little cooler. But I'm not going out with my tits spilling out! Just crop tops, etc.

Can't we expect better?!

@devildeepbluesea

Is this some creepy kind of stealth boast?
What makes you think the OP is boasting? Do you think it is a compliment that disgusting men think they can stare at your body? Thst’s Pretty fucked up. This thread is fucking depressing.
Legoandloldolls · 12/06/2020 18:43

I think it's only sorts of men that stare. Think might all look fleetingly.

I worked in a Male dominated role and my team lead wore tight short skirts with lace hold ups. When she sat down in meetings you could see her hold ups five inches below her skirt where it rode up. I used to look round at the blokes faces and I NEVER once caught them looking. I would bet my life the noticed though. I didnt tell her as i wasnt sure if she was already aware. It was so obvious!

Likefootball · 12/06/2020 18:44

This is just a side effect of being gorgeous.

Mummydaydreams · 12/06/2020 18:44

Yanbu, staring is rude. Random men staring at your breasts is gross. Most normal people manage to avoid staring whatever someone looks like or might be wearing. Some people are badly brought up and ill-mannered. I've only ever seen men staring at my boobs I think if women do it they are more discreet.

ProfessorSillyStuff · 12/06/2020 18:44

I've felt this so badly lately, like a pack of hungry dogs drooling at me! It's a bit overwhelming but in all honesty I feel bad for the men, a lot of them will be struggling greatly with being basically in forced chastity at the moment.

You should be able to wear what you want without being oogled at really. Especially when it's hot!
However in reality I don't think you can expect that men can control where they look. I have the rule, look but don't try to touch me!

Take it as a compliment if you can, but remember that it's not you they are giving attention to, only your body, which is pretty meaningless really!

MilkTwoSugarsThanks · 12/06/2020 18:45

I think we're are own worst enemy tbh. A significant proportion of women wear cropped tops because they want men's attention.

Destroyedpeople · 12/06/2020 18:45

A crop top is just a vest isn't it? Ok go out wearing a vest. Men should all be decent enough to avert their gaze. What you could do is affix a little spotlight just above your breasts to illuminate them.better.

Dragonembroidery · 12/06/2020 18:46

Though I must say if I saw a attractive woman with a crop top on, showing cleavage I'd probably look too. And I'm not even a lesbian despite having a fair few lesbian friends.

ShinyFootball · 12/06/2020 18:46

I'm well over 40 and the fact I don't get ogled any more is BRILLIANT. I don't miss it at all. I always hated it.

namesnames · 12/06/2020 18:47

God, I hope I didn't come across as if saying it's ok for men, or anyone, to leer.

What I meant was I notice, but don't letch, that's all.

Twistedinknots · 12/06/2020 18:48

@SiaPR

I was referring to myself. Big boobs and a short bra strap distance. It means many modern tops are perilously close to my nipples.
I can't be the only person with this shape body? m

Maybe it is just me!

FancyPants20 · 12/06/2020 18:50

Jesus, this thread! It's like feminism never happened.

SarahTancredi · 12/06/2020 18:50

I thought I'd be too old and past it but do still get this. I wear mainly vest tops as I hate sleeves and I'm not leaving hoodies on when I'm too hot. I'm only a d cup so hardly knocking peoples eyes out.and I look like Neil from the young ones only run over then slapped with a wet fish so it's not a looks thing either.

Just alot of perves out there unfortunately. Somehow I manage to not stare at other womens boobs or Men's bodies when they walk around topless .

It's not hard

Purpleartichoke · 12/06/2020 18:50

They look when they are covered up too.

When a person passes you on the street, their eyes might linger for a moment on whatever draws that individual’s attention. Unless you are having an actual interaction and he is staring at your breasts instead of paying attention to you, it’s really not rude.

pooiepooie25 · 12/06/2020 18:52

Fabcypants20 totally agree.

iwilltaketwoplease · 12/06/2020 18:52

How do you notice all the men starring at your tits ? Are you looking at every man you walk past to see where they look?

You are making out you don't like it but I bet there's a piece of you that does enjoy the attention.

Dragonembroidery · 12/06/2020 18:52

@shinyfootball
I loved being admired as I'm sure most women do, otherwise the fashion and beauty industries wouldn't get their £££billions.

Thesuzle · 12/06/2020 18:53

Lookings ok, but its when they shout at you, that’s when you need to be ready with strong words

Thesuzle · 12/06/2020 18:54

Also perhaps we all need to shout at them to cover up when they swagger around bare chested, sweat glistening on their horrible fat beer bellies. See how they like it

gypsywater · 12/06/2020 18:55

Why do you show your cleavage if you dont want anyone looking? Seems weird.

Dragonembroidery · 12/06/2020 18:56

Feminism is not mutually exclusive to sex or being admired or being sexually attractive...or flirting
I happen to be a long life feminist and I bloody love men and sex and flirting.
I'm not that attractive either. I'm just not as shrewish as some.

Pinkblueberry · 12/06/2020 18:56

Though I must say if I saw a attractive woman with a crop top on, showing cleavage I'd probably look too. And I'm not even a lesbian despite having a fair few lesbian friends.

Same. My boobs are tiny so I’m quite in awe of big ones. But there’s definitely a difference between looking and staring.

Queenoftheashes · 12/06/2020 18:57

I wouldn’t cover up to stop it. The most novel of women that I can never stop looking at when I see them are nuns. Esp. In the queue at weight watchers.

Ifeelfat · 12/06/2020 18:57

Absolutely cannot believe some of these responses, actually thought the first few were jokes but no they keep coming.
It’s fucking pathetic that some men can’t be civil enough not to make women feel uncomfortable. I’m having to have these conversations with my teenage daughter and it pisses me off that she has the same problems with unwanted, intrusive comments that I had in the 70s.

What’s worse is women defending them.

SarahTancredi · 12/06/2020 18:58

So men can walk around topless in the sun but we have to cover any trace of our body shape with some shapeless sack cloth and get to hot cos they cant control themselves ?

Nah
