Massive school catch up scheme

So after watching Boris last night, he mentioned that there will be a massive school catch up scheme over the summer.

He didn't go into any details but are any teachers aware of this? What it would entail?
Does it mean they plan for schools to be open through the summer?

Also, to be honest, I struggle to believe that such a summer school scheme would be effective if it involved supply teachers, etc. I am not saying that supply teachers would not have the skills to teach well, but rather that it would be hard for them to know what the gaps are, etc.

There would need to be a huge amount of planning.

The most that will be on offer will be online. I suspect not even online set by the school as teachers will be off.
Anyway how the hell is going to make teachers work over the summer and make children do the work?
