To find it disturbing that Peppa Pig visits a zoo?

Who decides who gets put there? Are they criminals? Is it just a prison? What have the animals done to be put there? Do they shout for help and band their cups on the bars as the free animals walk by.

Do they get let out if they behave? Or finish their sentence? Do they only imprison 4 of each animal at a time?

Is lockdown driving me to ask questions no adult should care about??

@firstmentat

Ben and Holly is worth watching just for Nanny Plum, I find some of the thing she says hilarious My lockdown discovery is that Nanny Plum and Mrs Rabbit are voiced by the same actress (overexposure to background kids TV).
Next-level realisations:

In the Peppa Pig universe, Father Christmas is voiced by the actor who plays the Wise Old Elf.

In the Ben and Holly universe, he is voiced by the actor who plays Daddy Pig.

I didn’t know whether to find the reciprocity pleasing or freak out that I had even noticed.

@firstmentat and @puntoebasta And the wise old elf is grandpa pig.

At the end of peppa pig there is a production card with gaston the ladybird on it. They are both produced by astley baker davies

Finding out that Flop is voiced by Mark Rylance aka serious thespian/Shakespearean actor, was a large shock

Ah, my youngest DD who's now 11 loved Peppa Pig when she was younger. I am fairly sure there was an episode when they had a barbecue and I was mildly horrified that they were eating meat! 😂

....
If you can get hold of a copy of 'Dougal and the Blue Cat' (which I had on LP in the 1970s), you will feel stoned.

It's from 'The Magic Roundabout'.

I always associate him with that movie where he got his cock out. It wasn't such a Flop then, if you know what I mean.

Dougal and the Blue Cat is batshit. Even by the standards of the day, it's insane.

Who needs Bing or the irritant that is Peppa when you have Hey Duggee referencing Apocalypse Now.

Or Nanny Plum and jelly floods. Whatevvvverrrr.

creativecringe · 16/06/2020 23:37

Chloe is Peppa pigs cousin. I think George must be adopted.

MinorArcana · 17/06/2020 11:10

Baby Alexander is Peppa’s cousin too.

Maybe the pig family are just rebelling against conventional naming practices, and all the other families are gossiping behind their backs about what crazy names their poor kids have (Chloe! George! Alexander! When there’s plenty of perfectly good names beginning with P!)
