To find it disturbing that Peppa Pig visits a zoo?

Who decides who gets put there? Are they criminals? Is it just a prison? What have the animals done to be put there? Do they shout for help and band their cups on the bars as the free animals walk by.

Do they get let out if they behave? Or finish their sentence? Do they only imprison 4 of each animal at a time?

Is lockdown driving me to ask questions no adult should care about??

My daughter has a book with ducks that go swimming (in swimwear) and one has a rubber ring with a ducks head on the front which disturbs me a bit.

TrudgingSlowlyOverWetSand · 10/06/2020 16:31

Facts:
There is more than one Miss Rabbit.
Peppa's head looks like a cock and balls. Once seen, never unseen.

FrugiFan · 10/06/2020 16:32

@Scott72

It would be more disturbing if she visited a deli.
A friend of mine used to work at "Peppa Pig World" when if first opened and apparently the cafe wasnt allowed to sell ham sandwiches or sausage rolls or anything with pork in. I dont know if she was pulling my leg, because when I went recently they were definitely selling pepperoni pizza 😂
BarkandCheese · 10/06/2020 16:34

It’s been a very long time since I saw Peppa (thank goodness) but if memory serves me correctly all the animals which are either pets or in zoos are non mammals and all the talking animals are mammals so there’s obviously some kind of animal hierarchy.

MockersGuidedByTheScience · 10/06/2020 16:36

Rather like the "London 2012" Logo, which looked like Lisa Simpson sucking off Bart.

spinthebottle · 10/06/2020 16:37

I was really poorly once with tonisilitis and as a result my DD who was 4 at the time spent a whole day watching paw patrol. We watched one episode and the pups had all gone underwater or something like that for a mission and I remember (in between dozing) thinking fuck me this episode is SO unrealistic they’ve totally jumped the shark.

As if it’s not a programme about talking puppies with an 8 year old as their leader. Grin

pandarific · 10/06/2020 17:12

There is an episode of Bojack Horseman on Netflix about just this. Very enlightening.

crispysausagerolls · 10/06/2020 17:41

@nevermorelenore

I bet poor Flop has to grit his teeth everytime Bing asks if Pando can come to play

AHHAHA. Surely not? Surely flop never, ever ever has to grit his teeth? He has the patience of a saint.

crispysausagerolls · 10/06/2020 17:44

Which bojack episode are people talking about?

VeganVeal · 10/06/2020 18:35

I dont know the answer to the question, I'm still struggling with the jigsaw I received for my birthday

To find it disturbing that Peppa Pig visits a zoo?
listsandbudgets · 10/06/2020 18:48

Thanks for the laugh I needed one.

That's tomorrow's lockdown learning then " The Sociological and Economic Structure of Peppas World" .. and if you produce good work there will be bacon and sausage sandwiches for lunch.

AlexCabot · 10/06/2020 18:54

Bobby My 11 year old is now obsessed with The Next Step. Badly acted Canadian dance drama, it's alllllll about regionals!

Occasionally I too miss the heady days of the weird world of Peppa.

Is it 1,2,3, Splosh? I have that too.

where in hell does Ryder, ostensibly a 10 year old boy , get the money for all the gadgets for the paw patrol, and where on earth are his parent ?

I have long decided that Ryder is in fact an adult spy with an endocrine disorder and is secretly funded by the military.

MrsHaversham · 10/06/2020 19:16

It's like Sylvanian Families. There is a milkman and also a Cow family. Where does the milk come from? Is he extorting it from Mrs Cow and then flogging it to the other families? And with all those animals living in harmony (Except Mrs Cow), why do they still have horses to pull the carts?

I may have thought too much about this.

transformandriseup · 10/06/2020 19:20

@HauntedGoatFart

Yes it is 😂

listsandbudgets · 10/06/2020 19:31

@AlexCabot Next Step... thank goodness that is behind us. Has she discovered Just Add Magic yet? We had to watch episodes of that dozens if times over around the same time as The Next flipping Step

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 10/06/2020 19:39

My daughter has a book with ducks that go swimming (in swimwear)

At least that's less weird than Donald Duck, who always wears a very smart jacket.... no pants, mind. Surely they should either be completely unclothed (as an animal would be) or properly clothed (if they're being anthropomorphised)?

What was that old saying about using a single feather in the bedroom is erotic but using the whole chicken is downright perverted?!

TheGirlWhoLived · 10/06/2020 19:43

I’ll trade next step for..... h20, mako mermaids, h20 animated... and winx dreamix, tymix, spy winx and fairy winx. I miss peppa, Ben and holly more

MissRabbitIsExhausted · 10/06/2020 20:22

Ben and Holly is worth watching just for Nanny Plum, I find some of the thing she says hilarious 😂

KitMarlowesCodpieceOfThigh · 10/06/2020 20:40

BarkandCheese What about the guinea pigs, though?

Trudging How do you know this? I need evidence.

weegiemum · 10/06/2020 21:20

Never was there a boy more in need of Social Services than Norman Price (in Fireman Sam). If I was running the fire department in PontyPandy I'd be looking at why so many call outs were caused by one kid. Dylis needs an intervention!

hotsouple · 10/06/2020 21:36

In my day we had major questions about what was going on with Cailluo

firstmentat · 10/06/2020 21:45

The rabbits are the size of horses I cant get past that! Absolutely terrifying
You haven't seen Giant Angoras in real life then.

firstmentat · 10/06/2020 21:47

Ben and Holly is worth watching just for Nanny Plum, I find some of the thing she says hilarious
My lockdown discovery is that Nanny Plum and Mrs Rabbit are voiced by the same actress (overexposure to background kids TV).

PuntoEBasta · 10/06/2020 21:51

The episode Pedro’s Cough was on the other day. Pedro has a contagious cough and gives it to everybody, including Dr Brown Bear. It makes for really fucking dark viewing right now.
