Oh god this thread has made me so hungry now, I've got a massive takeaway craving!

Proper guilty pleasure - Donner kebab meat wrap with garlic sauce and salad. And cheesy chips, with proper cheap melted cheese that glues together.

Also partial to a deep fried pancake roll from the Chinese. All of the grease and the salt, delicious.

Fuck I'm trying to resist the munchy box craving and this thread doesn't help.

Kebab shop pizzas win hands down, every time. With a huge portion of paprika fries on the side 😋

Donner meat and chips on top of a burger bun, drenched in burger sauce and with a can of mango Rubicon on the side. Food of the gods!

Our local pizza/kebab place used to stay open until 3am on Fridays and Saturdays, and it was right next to the taxi rank in town.

I used to LOVE a plain cheese and tomato pizza from there after a night out. I’d sit in the living room devouring this roasting hot pizza whilst I was still freezing cold from standing and waiting for a taxi, thinking about how happy I was to have taken my heels off. Happiness.

Well this thread inspired me. DH and I packed the DC off to bed after a nutritious meal of chicken salad wraps and then we had dirty kebab shop tea for ourselves

I had a pizza wrap which is a tortilla wrap covered in tomato sauce and cheese to make a thin based pizza, topped with chips, kebab meat, and garlic sauce then rolled up into a greasy, salty, delicious tube of artery clogging heaven.

DH had a Mexican pizza which is pizza with a chilli con carne base instead of tomato sauce then topped with peppers, onions, jalapenos, and crunched up tortilla chips.

We're going to finish reliving our university days with a pint of snakebite each after I remembered there was a can of Fosters and a can of Magners leftover from Christmas in the back of fridge.

YES! Just reading this sends me back, I can even smell that weird post-night out smell. A mix of perfume, stale cigarette smoke, booze, dance sweat, and Extra gum.

We call it dirty pizza 🍕 and it's a takeaway option in it's own right... not something you order when you want a pizza, it's a category individually

When I was at uni the kebab van nearest to my college did a naan bread chicken kebab which I'd have smothered with garlic mayo. My other top order was eight chicken nuggets drowned in garlic mayo. I really liked garlic mayo; I must have stunk!

Some of the kebab vans also sold drugs; I once got a free joint with my nuggets!

Ours does a cheesy garlic bread on a pizza base which is to die for. I don’t know how the base supports the weight of the obscene amount of cheese they use.

When I was a lass we always used to have a pizza/kebab from the chippy next to the pub on the way home, nowt better than stumbling home, pissed and shovelling pizza down your gob.

I never get heartburn or acid reflux from my own cooked food. It must be the grease/fat they use

I miss takeaways, especially Turkish pizza with salad and chips and garlic sauce all rolled into it

Ohhh i love a kebab shop burger...loads of salad and burger sauce...the burgers are just so much better than anywhere else.

salt and pepper chips from the Chinese with sweet and sour sauce. and a kebab shop near me does pakora kebabs which also double as a colonic cleanse the next morning, delicious, nutritious and shit half your body weight off, what's not to like?

This thread has made me so nostalgic for the takeaway in the town I lived in 15yrs ago that I just googled it to see if it still exists. It does, and quite frankly the RELIEF of knowing it's still there with it's chewy cheese, chunky ham, and shrivelled pineapple pizzas is the closest thing to heaven I've experienced in recent months.

I don't care how wrong it was. It was what I needed.

Oh my god, kebab shop pizzas are the best! The greasiness, the oodles of cheese....I like a good slathering of garlic mayo on mine..
