Oh wow - am just watching this on Netflix. What an inspirational woman,

It’s not an Aibu - but for traffic - this is a great watch

I loved it too. She’s gorgeous, intelligent and an inspiration. I’d like to read her book but just don’t have the time atm.

amillionnamechangeslater000 · 06/06/2020 22:59

I always liked her - but watching this - what an amazing woman! Just so likeable and also wise.

Yes also a fan & enjoyed the show.

MissFlite · 06/06/2020 23:03

She narrates her book on Audible, absolutely fascinating. Love her!

Brakebackcyclebot · 06/06/2020 23:04

I am watching it too right now. She's witty and funny, and very open.

SecretSpAD · 06/06/2020 23:06

She's a complete inspiration and such a beautiful human indeed.

amillionnamechangeslater000 · 06/06/2020 23:07

@MissFlite oh fantastic- will download. She’s so honest. Am just watching her talking about having her children. So honest and so refreshing.

I agree OP, she is so graceful. It was a very enjoyable documentary

Experimenopause · 06/06/2020 23:13

I wonder how two completely opposite types of women personalities became so insanely popular in the US at around the same time: the Kartrashians vs Obama. Michele Obama is the height of grace.

HollyGoLoudly1 · 06/06/2020 23:19

I wish she would adopt me.

amillionnamechangeslater000 · 06/06/2020 23:25

She’s just very “real”.

amillionnamechangeslater000 · 06/06/2020 23:26

Just watching the bit where she’s with her bodyguards and she’s like “I check where their guns are as if I was going to try and take me ojt, I’d take them out first”
Just very real and normal

I think she ought to be given the position of Permanent First Lady. They can change Presidents but she should stay, a bit like the Queen & the PM. Her book is brilliant.

Sparklesocks · 06/06/2020 23:35

Haven’t seen the Netflix one yet but loved the book

amillionnamechangeslater000 · 06/06/2020 23:46

I’ve not read the book but just downloaded it now. Every bit I watch is making me love her more

OP posts:
saveeno · 06/06/2020 23:49

Her book was great, took me through the height of the lockdown. So refreshingly honest in many ways.
But I know lots of crap went on behind the scenes too.
Anyway, Netflix night tomorrow!

amillionnamechangeslater000 · 06/06/2020 23:54

Just finished it - and actually said out loud “what a fucking legend” (and I don’t usually speak like Danny dyer).

Thank you for reminding me about this. I need to put it on my watch list.

fia101 · 07/06/2020 00:07

We need her in the white house

Muh2020 · 07/06/2020 00:15

I didn't think it was much good.
It didn't tell us much about her at all.

Rumour is she's being groomed to run for POTUS.

Muh2020 · 07/06/2020 00:16

The Obamas would be better off to follow the Jimmy Carter model.

LockdownLump · 07/06/2020 00:20

She’s gorgeous, intelligent and an inspiration

I love her but am very disappointed that her first trait you stated was "she's gorgeous"

Michelle Obama is a lot more things before being gorgeous.

SingingSands · 07/06/2020 00:22

Her book is fantastic, she comes across as a genuine and hard working woman who uses her position to encourage and push for change.

She is quite explicit about NOT wanting to run for POTUS though.

amillionnamechangeslater000 · 07/06/2020 00:30

I don’t think she wants to run for president - thin she’s too honest for that.

OP posts:
Redcrayons · 07/06/2020 00:39

I didn’t know there was a tv programme, I loved the book.

She’s just brilliant.
