To think that I can't be pregnant can I?

Hi, this is freaking me out but friend is making me panic. Last two months I've had regular periods etc but I have had nausea for about 5 months. For 2 months, I keep feeling (and you can physically see it) what looks like a baby move. Like kicking etc. Mainly at top of stomach but happened at bottom and side a few times. I cannot be pregnant with periods can I? I've tested and it's negative so AIBU to rule out pregnancy? TIA

If you've had sex, yes of course there's a chance even if you used protection. Unlikely, but possible. You had best make an appointment with your GP for a blood test to confirm or rule out a pregnancy that way. I hope you get the result you want Thanks

AliBear90 · 04/06/2020 18:13

I would agree, get gp to confirm with bloods. Sometimes they never show on urine tests for some reason. I have a friend who’s urine tests were negative through 3 pregnancies xx

I do understand what you're saying but I'm having regular periods? Like heavy ones.

Why do you think strangers on the internet are going to be able to tell you more than your doctor?

Pinkblueberry · 04/06/2020 18:28

Some people continue to bleed when pregnant. If you think you could be five months pregnant it’s too late to take a home pregnancy test, it will just give a negative result anyway. Probably not pregnant, but get checked out.

tealandteal · 04/06/2020 18:30

It is possible and surely you will wonder for the next 4 months if you don't check?

peachypetite · 04/06/2020 18:34

There’s another thread on here by someone who has found out she is pregnant really far along, after feeling movement in her stomach.

Ohnoherewego62 · 04/06/2020 18:36

Ok, have you any bowel or digestive issues? I have IBS and a little one and tbh the wind moving in my stomach always feels like theres a baby in there. The first time after labour, I wondered did they leave one in there?!?

Are you using reliable contraceptive?

Incredulous

Stampy84 · 04/06/2020 18:47

@DivGirl she’s worried, she’s asking in case anyone else has had similar- sometimes randoms from the internet can help settle someone’s thoughts before they see a doctor.. is that ok with you?

Marianneconnell · 04/06/2020 18:51

Check out the other thread on chat " it wasn't wind it's a baby". Poster just found out she's due in a few weeks.

AintOverUntilTheCatLadySings · 04/06/2020 19:00

It's possible but unlikely. I'd speak to a doctor about your symptoms anyway

borntohula · 04/06/2020 19:01

I'd say with periods and a negative test it's possible but highly unlikely.

@DivGirl by that logic, what's the point of anyone asking for advice here when they could just seek professional help. Hmm

DuckALaurent · 04/06/2020 19:03

Yes you could be pregnant:

First thread on how it began:

DuckALaurent · 04/06/2020 19:05

And full periods throughout pregnancy happens more than you realise so it’s totally possible.

thatselementary · 04/06/2020 19:06

I know no one can diagnose it but I'm freaking out. No, no digestive issues and it feels literally the same but I'm on my period. I'm going to the doctors on Monday anyway but I wondered if anyone knew anyone who had this. I haven't missed a period at all, last month was a week early is all and lasted 3 days but the rest including this one have been normal (which is heavy for me). I only use withdrawal method which I know isn't reliable but surely with heavy bleeding continuously, it's highly unlikely? I test every month and it's always negative. I've had two babies.

Shelley54 · 04/06/2020 19:08

Some people report having periods throughout. If you've only been getting him to pull out, well... what do you call two people who use the withdrawal method? Parents...

thatselementary · 04/06/2020 19:16

When I feel and push down (gently) on my tummy, I can't feel anything.

OP posts:
Ohnoherewego62 · 04/06/2020 19:27

That's so strange. If it was wind, drinking fizzy juice and lying on your left side may help.

When did you first start noticing it? Have you any other symptoms going on at the minute?

I only say this as I'm the exact same for the last few months but I'm certain it's my IBS and I have protection in place.

Really hope the doctors are able to find out what's going on!

thatselementary · 04/06/2020 20:06

I have it on video but I don't think I can upload it?

OP posts:
thatselementary · 04/06/2020 20:07

Noticed it for a while and I'm nauseous but I'm on my period.

peachypetite · 04/06/2020 20:20

Good luck at the dr!

Stampy84 · 04/06/2020 21:04

I’ve just spent the last 45 mins catching up on the ‘wind baby thread’ wow!

Now I’m invested in yours!

Ohnoherewego62 · 04/06/2020 21:18

I dont think you can upload videos only link to them but I'm not great with these things. Maybe someone else could advise?

How would you feel if you were pregnant?
