Do airlines know something we don't?

Easyjet are planning to resume flight to 75% of its network by August and have jut launched their Summer 2020 sale.

I wonder what makes them so confident everything will be ok travel-wise by that point? Is this a sign that International/European travel will be resuming very shortly?

Hopefully Virgin know something we don’t!

U.K. was added to the ban a few days after mainland Europe. We were on a flight to Orlando when it was announced!

I don't think any of the airlines know much more than we do...it's more a case of, as GabsAlot says, of them hedging their bets.

They are mainly ATM lobbying like crazy over the proposed UK quarantine and in the meantime opening up bookings (demonstrating a level of interest in travel that might in itself be another lobbying tool).
