Now illegal to have sex with partner you don't live with?

Sueannnnna · 01/06/2020 11:46

Lots of newspapers/online articles announcing this today.
Being in a private place with partner and having sex can lead to a £100 fine if i've read correctly.

The world is going cuckoo.
But who cares about seeing my boyfriend, at least I can go shopping in Primark and go sit on a packed train (sarcasm)

Boris said himself to 'follow our instincts' so the "rules" actually are more like.a guidance

They're not though. Refer to your title and opening post.

Sueannnnna · 01/06/2020 17:23

@PatricksRum once again, I really hope your medal and trophey come through soon, sure it won't be long

Are you shielding? Which rule states you can't leave your home in 3-4 months (although impressive that you pre-dated lockdown in your desire to be "good" - did you not get enough praise at school?)

That's quite a jump.

Trying to keep my child alive rather than be good. Thanks for your input.

Sueannnnna · 01/06/2020 17:24

@PatricksRum and so what if someone just wants sex with their partner?
There's no difference between co-habitsting partners having sex and non-cohbating partners having sex!

In fact, it's more risky for working co-habitatant partners have sex than furloughed non-cohabitating partners having sex!

OP posts:
PatricksRum · 01/06/2020 17:25

@PatricksRum
Yes they do. Boris himself said to follow your instincts.
Karen's instincts are telling her she needs to see her boyfriend not sitting 2m apart

If everyone is to follow their own instincts and it's guidance rather than rules, why did you bother to start a thread?

PatricksRum · 01/06/2020 17:26

@PatricksRum i'm not childish but it's quite childish for you to incorporate everyone's situations into one

@PatricksRum they are more like guidance. No one is going to get arrested for going to their partners house. It's an unenforceable rule that very few will take any notice of. The media have found a funny angle for a story that will capture people's attention, it's just click bate.

PatricksRum · 01/06/2020 17:28

and so what if someone just wants sex with their partner?

You answered that in your own title, OP.

I agree Re click bait, arrest but social distancing is a rule.

Sueannnnna · 01/06/2020 17:29

@PatricksRum the same way you say I have dramatised the newspaper, you have dramatised my title

I'm still curious as to why @PatricksRum started isolating before anyone else did.
3-4 months! Definitely the lockdown winner.
Do I get a participation certificate for managing 2 months?

PatricksRum · 01/06/2020 17:30

@Sueannnnna When you can actually put a point across without trying to personally insult me for keeping my child alive I will be happy to talk.
I don't respond to ad hominem. Good day

The brain is an amazing thing.
I've been following the coronavirus news since January.

I decided to isolate my child and I as I don't know that she would survive catching it.

Thanks for the praise.

Are they more at risk than anyone else? I'm assuming they are in the shielding category otherwise you clearly don't need to stay indoors for 3/4 months. Have you been given an incorrect version of "the rulz"?*

Nope. We're no more at risk. I decided to stay inside as I find it good for my depression(!)

PatricksRum · 01/06/2020 17:34

@Sueannnnna

That was in response to your previous personal attack:

once again, I really hope your medal and trophey come through soon, sure it won't be long*

Sueannnnna · 01/06/2020 17:34

@PatricksRum so that's your decision! It is not your decision that everyone else has to stay in because you are

OP posts:
Jingstohang · 01/06/2020 17:35

Can we stop with the shielding bashing please? It's abhorrent.

RabbityMcRabbit · 01/06/2020 17:35

Individual circumstances have no bearing on the law. ha ha ha, tell that to Dominic Cummings 😂
