Today I pissed on the back seat of the car...

I've read a few threads that say 'why do people keep asking where you're going to go to the toilet?' Well... I'll tell you why.. it's because it's a very very important issue with the current lock down rules.

I've not name-changed so I can't be accused of being a piss troll.

I set off today to see my mum. A 1hr drive. I've done it once before and the last time I went with the strategy of being dehydrated. It worked but caused a huge headache.

However, this time, we wanted to meet for longer than just a quick walk: a picnic was planned. So, with my birth injuries plus my diet coke addiction, I formulated a plan: 3 nappies double bagged to make a 'travel potty'.

I felt confident. Liberated even. I drank my coke with zero trepidation. On my return journey I pulled into a secluded layby and retired to the back seat to make use of the 'travel potty'. As I finished, on looking down, I was just in time to see the huge puddle soak down into the seat.

I fear that the bit-of-a-rub with a wet wipe may not have done the trick. Tomorrow, I need to come up with an excuse to go out in the car so that I can sprinkle bi-carb and drive around with all windows open before my husband finds out and files this under 'unreasonable behaviour' in the divorce proceedings.

WIBU to piss in the car!? Has anyone else resorted to such barbaric ways during these unprecedented times?

@LakieLady Omg I genuinely had tears in my eyes at that! He sounds hilarious!!!!

Dougalthesyrianhamster · 29/05/2020 19:12

I've tried to use a She Wee and despite placing it directly under my Urethra - went everywhere! You pretty much need to be an ultra thin Gymnast to be able to use them successfully I think

FelicisNox · 29/05/2020 19:15

Why didn't you just piss in a lay-by behind a tree or wear a Tena?

Amateur.

howlatthetrees · 29/05/2020 19:26

Just bring a bucket

greeningthedesert · 29/05/2020 19:34

I hugely admire your honesty. If I can, eventually, get the smell of my child’s vomit from the back of the car, the pee smell will fade too. I hope this rapidly becomes a funny anecdote for you. Perhaps the next thread you begin could solicit others’ “it seemed like a good idea at the time” stories. It might counter the six pages of why didn’t you just do x or y. Recently, whilst out walking on a wide flat track I decided I’d like to walk 30 paces with my eyes shut. I honestly can’t remember why exactly, something along the lines of to tune in to other senses and as an exercise in trust. The track was straight, on one side there were huge boulders and on the other a ditch about 2 m deep. I got to 17 before I tumbled into the ditch. For some reason I hadn’t anticipated that, it seemed like a good idea at the time. 🙄

Well if nothing else, you've answered a question I've often pondered. Usually on the motorway when there's a hold up and the nearest services are miles away. It's not too bad when I'm driving - concentrating on that takes my mind off my bladder, but when I'm stuck in traffic, omg I've had some near misses and have often wondered how much piss a Tena lady, or pampers actually hold! My fear is 'not enough' and you've pretty much confirmed it. I might have to invest in a she-wee! Oh and for whoever said about going behind a bush...that's all very well if you can find one that renders you invisible from every angle without you having to go Bear Grylls and probably break and ankle in the process!

RandomGirl · 29/05/2020 19:53

Fake post. Like the previous. Yawn.

Thinkingabout1t · 29/05/2020 20:52

Large yogurt pot - I think they're 600mls, and the top is wide enough.

helpIhateclothesshopping · 29/05/2020 21:05

I have used a Potette travel potty in the boot of our car before but if the spot is secluded enough I prefer to use it on the pavement shielded by the car door . The Potette fits a Carte d'Or ice-cream tub perfectly and can be tipped in the nearest drain afterwards. If you have a changing mat it would be worth putting that and maybe a towel down under the potty next weekend.

helpIhateclothesshopping · 29/05/2020 21:06

Sorry next time not next weekend

glennamy · 29/05/2020 22:06

Use Fabreeze on it until you no longer smell anything...

Maybe get your flaps trimmed to stop it ever happening again in future!

Barearseloverofthigh · 29/05/2020 22:16

Practical 🧐

ArtieFufkinPolymerRecords · 29/05/2020 22:18

If you have nappies in the house, do you also have a potty? That would have been a much better idea.

LakieLady · 29/05/2020 22:20

@PotholeParadise, I'm afraid we stayed together for another couple of years. I like a warped sense of humour in a man. Grin

He was very kind and very funny, gorgeous and great in the sack. Just not The One.

dementedma · 29/05/2020 22:21

Bloody hell just use the loo. Wash your hands thoroughly and wipe down the taps and loo seat. Are people REALLY this neurotic about Covid?

Cuntycovid · 29/05/2020 22:24

Am I missing something here , why cant you piss before you set off , horrible that pissing yourself in car bet it stinks.

ThighThighofthigh · 29/05/2020 22:37

It's not like she shat herself, it's just a bit of piss.

Foxywoody · 29/05/2020 22:46

I found this funny!!

NemosMum21 · 29/05/2020 23:05

In the days when I used to sail a small sloop in the North Sea, I had a 2 litre plastic jug (50p from any good homeware store). Mind you, it was difficult getting out of oilskins if it was rough weather!

Msmcc1212 · 29/05/2020 23:25

Glad I’m not the only one with a she pee horror story! Never again.

OP the perfect thing to get the smell out is the enzyme sprays for cat/dog wee smells. It’s amazing. The enzymes eat all the bacteria etc (not sure of the exact science) and it works amazingly.

Msmcc1212 · 29/05/2020 23:30

Today 22:21 dementedma

‘Bloody hell just use the loo. Wash your hands thoroughly and wipe down the taps and loo seat. Are people REALLY this neurotic about Covid?‘

One study in a hospital found that a small unventilated toilet was a cause of infections. New scientist article last week about how to minimise your risk. It’s not neurotic to not want to get covid. Grin

Cocacola12 · 29/05/2020 23:36

Why not just use the toilet at your mums....quick wee, wipe down toilet/flush/handle with antibac wipe and wash hands.

Deckchair1009 · 30/05/2020 00:02

Oh this really made me giggle! Well done for posting! If you have a four door car, if you open two of doors on the same side it makes an ideal toilet cubicle. We’re a family that often go on long countryside walks, unfortunately my young kids have taken alfresco toilets to the limit and whilst I’m waiting for them to have a quick wee, they think nothing of promoting it to a number 2! We don’t have a dog unfortunately but I’ve had to invest in doggy bags, they’ve discovered that sycamore leaves or dock leaves are the favourite natural loo roll 🙈

SpillTheTeaa · 30/05/2020 00:14

Hahaha. I would have probably just gone in a push and took a nappy sack and some tissues to Chuck when I got home!

Just say you left the window in the car undone over night and a fox must have got in and peed on the seat Wink

SpillTheTeaa · 30/05/2020 00:14

Gone in a bush* gone in push is probably accurate as well tbf.
