Donald J. Trump
@realDonaldTrump

'BIG COURT WIN against Bolton. Obviously, with the book already given out and leaked to many people and the media, nothing the highly respected Judge could have done about stopping it...BUT, strong & powerful statements & rulings on MONEY & on BREAKING CLASSIFICATION were made...."

Wait...what? He LOST the bid for the TRO. Or did I miss something that happened later?

lionheart · 20/06/2020 19:37

No. He is pretending he won bigly.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 20/06/2020 19:40

What I really do not understand (yes, all right, many things puzzle me) is that Trump seems to think that being tested every day makes him immune.

If you are tested it can only ever say either positive or negative. If it is positive, you have got the disease, and have probably had it for the best part of a week. The fact of being tested does not alter the fact of having, or not having, caught the disease.

It may make a difference to how soon you are treated for it, but that is all it can do.

MockersMisguidedByTheScience · 20/06/2020 20:11

He also claims that if you don't test, you have no cases.

Meanwhile, colour me surprised:

Roussette · 20/06/2020 20:13

Yep, that's what he thinks. He really hasn't a clue.

Both DH and me are having tests shortly. Don't think we have it, we are part of a study, capturing a moment in time for a NHS/Imperial College study of those who don't have symptoms but may be asymptomatic.

'BREAKING: Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham just signaled that he will not move forward with a nomination for the U.S. attorney for Manhattan without sign off from two Democratic senators.

THIS IS BIG. Geoffrey Berman could stay in the job.'

lionheart · 20/06/2020 21:20

Trump and Barr are each passing the buck on the firing of Berman.

I don't know anything about the replacement, Clayton.

Roussette · 20/06/2020 21:24

Statement from Barr to Berman in retaliation

Trump 101: How not to President (TrumpThread #101)
TheNorthWestPawsage · 20/06/2020 23:04

BREAKING: Geoffrey Berman says he will step down as U.S. attorney in Manhattan, in light of Attorney General William Barr's decision to name Berman's deputy, Audrey Strauss, as acting U.S. attorney.

2/ U.S. Attorney Berman says he made his decision in light of Attorney General Barr’s “decision to respect the normal operation of law” and have Strauss become Acting U.S. attorney.

3/ Berman says Strauss, the new Acting U.S. attorney, is the “smartest, most principled and effective lawyer with whom I have ever had the privilege of working.” So Trump's decision to fire Berman merely leaves him with Berman’s deputy as the top U.S. prosecutor in Manhattan.

What a whirlwind! (The Berman Saga)

I wonder what Graham's motivation is. Is he seeing the downfall of Scrotus getting nearer in his own rearview mirror or does he just want to say "See, the Dems are stalling this whole process!"

Oh dearie me. How embarrassing

lionheart · 21/06/2020 01:51

I believe kpop fans and other protesters ordered a lot of tickets.

lionheart · 21/06/2020 01:55

I believe he just drank a glass of water using only one hand.

He then threw the glass to the floor. (Yes, really).

His greatest achievement as President.

lionheart · 21/06/2020 01:58

He's on about the ramp now.

lionheart · 21/06/2020 01:58

Trump: 'When you do testing to that extent, you’re going to find more people. You’re going to find more cases. So I said to my people slow the testing down please.'

Trump: 'When you do testing to that extent, you’re going to find more people. You’re going to find more cases. So I said to my people slow the testing down please.'
What a muppet. He is so obsessed about comparing his numbers with those of other countries.

I'm looking forward to reading the transcript.
(that must be an impossible job, trying to write down what he says)

TheClaws · 21/06/2020 07:45

A few weeks ago, Trump gave Jeff Sessions another pasting for something on Twitter. This is Sessions today. (I checked quite carefully; I’m fairly certain this isn’t a parody account - it is the actual Jeff Sessions kowtowing to Trump publicly.)

What is going on here? Why is Sessions acting like a frightened employee?

Jeff Sessions @jeffsessions 5hr

President @realDonaldTrump displayed tonight his incredible drive, understanding of the history and principles that made America great. Masterful! Unleashed! Winning message!! @JoeBiden cannot match this. Game on!

BruceAndNosh · 21/06/2020 08:09

The rally organisers should have belatedly asked the attendees to practice social distancing. If they'd all stood 6 ft apart, the place might have looked full. Must have been difficult for Trump's camera operators to avoid showing the empty seats

Roussette · 21/06/2020 08:25

A tweet...

SCOOP: A Tulsa Fire Dept spox confirmed to
@Forbes
that they clocked turnout at Trump's rally at just under 6,200, far less than the BOK Center's 19,200 capacity.

The campaign had expected enough to warrant a second speech to the overflow section.

Roussette · 21/06/2020 08:33

It's like a bad bad stand up routine by someone who doesn't know what they're burbling on about...
This is hilarious... Trumpy talking about the West Point ramp
