I had a dreadful night's sleep last night, and woke at 3.45am and went on my phone (silly move) and Twitter was awash with this Berman removal.

Here is his statement. He learned of his removal from a Barr press release. He had no intention of stepping down. He sounds furious in this statement.

This is purely to protect the investigations into Trump. Awful.

I wonder if Prince Andrew looks upon this favourably too, as Berman is in charge of the Epstein investigation also.

The Berman 'firing' has really gotten to me. My first thought was to get him replaced with a 'shill' before Scrotus is booted out so any 'post presidency' lawsuits get the kibosh put on them. My second thought is to wait and see if we see a rash of these 'replacements' in Blue States in the lead up to November to try and 'stack the judicial deck' with appointed prosecutors who will actively pursue cases of alleged voter fraud filed by the GOP and contrariwise ignore/delay any filed by Dems. Any rulings (either way) will end up before SCOTUS (like Bush v Gore) but I'm sure Scrotus et al figure why not try to rush through and/or delay cases as they see fit.

Stacking the judicial deck is one of the GOP's and Scrotus' main objectives, they've made that 100% crystal clear. Fascism in action.

Just got a CNN 'flash' on my phone: Federal Judge has refused to block release of Bolton's book. Request for an emergency TRO has been denied.

Also just got a BBC 'blurb' that Katie Hopkins has been permanently blocked from Twitter.

I would think that in this day of global communication networks it would be rather difficult to 'block' a publication.

Not like the good old days when you had to get a friend of a friend to smuggle in a copy of Lady Chatterley's Lover from Paris.

I saw someone say that one of the journalists at the WH briefing asked about the attempt to block publication while he held a copy of the book in his hand.

More recent than DH Lawrence, we had Peter Wright's Spycatcher published in Australia when the milk snatcher tried to ban it.

Meanwhile looks like the Trumpy Rally is going to put that Korean church in the shade when it comes to superspreading, with the R number inside such a venue rated at around 10.

Apparently there are so many advance copies of and leaks from the book 'out there' that the request for a TRO is like Umbridge trying to ban the issue of the Quibbler containing Harry's interview about Voldy's return. Soon Scrotus (and Barr) will be running around shouting at people to 'turn out their pockets'.

Oh, they can block the physical release of a printed book, sure. But it would be awfully easy (if you had the 'how-to') to put a 'black market' copy of the book online somewhere 'out there' on the Interwebz. By the time an injunction to remove it was issued there would have been a zillion copies downloaded to secure servers (or actually printed). Anonymous could do it, I'm sure. (hint hint)

Remember....it's all a Dem HOAX and there is NO risk! So of course they want to prove their loyalty to him by not wearing masks They've 'drunk the Kool-Aid' and Tulsa may very well be their own personal 'Jonestown'.

The unfortunate part is that they'll be spreading the virus to innocent people. Just as with people who intentionally spread HIV/AIDs, there should be a law against intentionally or carelessly spreading a disease that has caused a recognized pandemic.

Apologies if this has been mentioned on here before, @Roussette, but I read somewhere that people attending the Tulsa election rally had to register on a website where they had to sign a waiver to the effect that they would not sue President Trump if they caught COVID-19. I mean, why would anyone be so stupid as to go to this rally in those circumstances? I'm tempted to mention Darwin and natural selection but I'm sure it's been done here before! As well as being a cockwomble, I've decided Trump is my word of the month, namely, a snollygoster.

Yes, I'd heard that everyone had to sign waivers not to sue Trumpy if they go down with Covid, and that the Venue is now wanting a waiver that they won't be sued instead.

Just seen some footage on Twitter. One woman has been sleeping on the pavement since Wednesday 'to see my President because he risks his life for us, and sleeping on the sidewalk is the least I can do'

➡️ Quarantining now is probably TOO LATE - tests usually only positive on/after 4/5th day after infection, but pre-/asymptomatic infection starts on day 3. So unless they always wore masks (doubtful), real trouble.
