I wish journos would read out some of the both heartfelt and furious tweets pp have written about their situations to this man. He is fucking pathetic!

lyralalala · 25/05/2020 17:07

I just think the man made a decision, agree with it or don’t, but there is no need for this media circus.

Some jobs bring a media circus. DC chose this job, he has actively encouraged the media when it suits him, so he has to take the negative side if he makes use of the positive

RedToothBrush · 25/05/2020 17:07

The body language of the journalist who just asked him if he'd broken the spirit of the law even if he hadn't actually broken the law.

Folded arms and looking fucked off.

And NOW his kid wanted to take a piss in Barnard Castle.

chomalungma · 25/05/2020 17:07

Didn't he just say he drove to Barnard Castle and have a walk?

BrightonBB · 25/05/2020 17:07

Beth Rigby is awesome.

Inoneminute · 25/05/2020 17:07

So we had to go to Durham because Mary had Covid symptoms but actually she didn't have symptoms when we left London...

CandlesBlanketsandTea · 25/05/2020 17:07

He hasn't apologised for breaking the guidance whilst people have had to leave their family members to die alone!

Shefliesonherownwings · 25/05/2020 17:07

The guidance doesn't say drive 240 miles either. Who is this guy now? I like him

Bluntness100 · 25/05/2020 17:07

People are enjoying this a bit too much.

It’s sickening

I’m out.

The80sweregreat · 25/05/2020 17:07

They feel like mugs! Yep we do

madroid · 25/05/2020 17:07

@Bluntness100

Give it a rest. He's let the whole nation down and so has BJ.

Aridane · 25/05/2020 17:07

Who is the geeky looking journalist in a suit?

Nicknacky · 25/05/2020 17:07

What is he writing? Just pay attention, man!

CloudsCanLookLikeSheep · 25/05/2020 17:07

If you go down to the woods today (or on the 15th April) you're in for a big surprise!

Lemonylemony · 25/05/2020 17:07

He hasn’t even CONSIDERED resigning!

The arrogance. Wow.

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 25/05/2020 17:07

I can't believe that given his and his wife's jobs they don't have childcare? 70+ year old parents miles away?

SheldontheWonderSchlong · 25/05/2020 17:08

He says his wife didn't have covid symptoms, yet he went to Durham because he thought they would get it and not be able to look after the kid.....what????

RaptorInaPorkPieHat · 25/05/2020 17:08

If he'd just resign, he wouldn't be going through it.

No sympathy.

Aridane · 25/05/2020 17:08

How can anyone be so spectacularly ARROGANT? He is there to serve the government and he is damaging its credibility and the public health campaign

ineedaholidaynow · 25/05/2020 17:08

So his wife didn't even have COVID symptoms. DH has just said maybe she just had a hangover!

Techway · 25/05/2020 17:08

I bet the journalists asking tough questions will be in DC's black notebook..they will need to watch their backs.

The80sweregreat · 25/05/2020 17:08

Bluntness, he thought this would be a good idea! It's backfired I'm afraid.

MarshaBradyo · 25/05/2020 17:08

No he shouldn’t go. Him doing this is enough.

lyralalala · 25/05/2020 17:08

He's trying to have it both ways over this. If his wife didn't have Covid symptoms then he didn't need the mad dash north. If she did they shouldn't have left the house.

GreyGardens88 · 25/05/2020 17:08

Bluntness100

You clearly have an agenda of some sort, no reasonable member of the public is defending DC like you are. Go away with your annoying posts
