I'm not expecting anyone to take my side but just wanted to put my point across because you seriously are a lot of misinformed busy bodies.

Oh dear Lord, do you all not have enough going on in your own lives without having to spend so much time thinking about DC. Mumsnet in general is a Labour Loving Lick Arse group and no matter what the tories do, you all complain. I've seen threads on here about whether people should be reporting neighbours to police for having parties etc and the majority of you said no. Make your bloody minds up. It's only because of who it is, you are all going mad. You make out like the whole country followed guidelines to a tee and he is the only one who has done anything wrong, even though he hasn't. His job as a loving father comes before everything, and if it wasn't for the fact my kids are teenagers and very self sufficient, we would have had to do something similar as both myself and hubby were very ill with C19 with underlying health conditions. Focus on your own lives and leave other people alone. Everyone thinks they can get involved in other people's lives and it's getting bloody ridiculous.

Hello Dominic Grin

ZaraW · 25/05/2020 12:45

It's always been one rule for them and another for us!

I think you mean it's one rule for us mere mortals and different rules for BoJo and his mates.

BakedCam · 25/05/2020 12:45

This is going to be a right swamp of telling you where you're going wrong.

greathat · 25/05/2020 12:46

Hey Dom. I was just thinking we need a "I'm Dominic AMA. Want to start one up?

ZaraW · 25/05/2020 12:46

Yes, very angry, might start meditation

You need something

Ethelfleda · 25/05/2020 12:46

Hi OP 👋
I voted Labour in the last two elections.
I don’t give a flying fuck about DC and his little trip.
So for that reason YABU to address the whole of Mumsnet in this manor.

I also don’t give a fuck if others want to froth at the mouth about it. So maybe you should take your own advice here and not get so wound up about what others are focusing on and.. y’know... focus on your own life?

Fucksakewiseup · 25/05/2020 12:46

coldlighthappier

No, just because i have a different view than most of you doesn't make me an arsehole.

@FOJN well I do have a persistent tickly cough, so the popcorn might help soothe my throat?

slipperywhensparticus · 25/05/2020 12:47

Yeah you have clearly not been here long if you think everyone is labour voters

Try taking your own advice

JamieLeeCurtains · 25/05/2020 12:48

Get out of my fucking face, Mary. Haven't you got a flock of sheep to lie to or something

MarieQueenofScots · 25/05/2020 12:48

It's only because of who it is, you are all going mad

Your insightful thinking is startling

HirooOnoda · 25/05/2020 12:49

@Fucksakewiseup

And yet here are you concentrating on the lives of other people, namely mumsnet posters or more worryingly the devilishly named Labour Lick Arse Group (LLAG). While I agree that this mums-net enclave of pro labour posters needs stopping, you are only one woman (maybe) and taking this rebel splinter group on alone seems dangerous. Granted I know very little about the LLAG but they sound scary and definitely definitely are a real thing and not simply a construct of your own overworking mind ☺️

I wish you god speed in your mission, remember if things are getting difficult, simply break any rule you want and then claim it was for the best and you acted with integrity while simultaneously trampling on the families who up to now have continued to make great sacrifices for the betterment of the country as a whole.

This post will self destruct in 10 seconds - or approximately what it has taken this government to implode...

TheGreatWave · 25/05/2020 12:51

Everyone thinks they can get involved in other people's lives and it's getting bloody ridiculous.

See this would hold some water had the very person we have been discussing not been the one telling us exactly what we can and can't do the last so many weeks.

fandajji · 25/05/2020 12:51

I'm a Brexit, Tory voting, centre-right poster and I think DC has to go. Those at the top have seen all the "science" that is apparently petrifying and means we needs to be locked down, yet many of them are happy to break the guidance.

I'm against lockdown but have followed it, now I feel justified in my views that it's all a load of economic damaging nonsense. That's a little worrying really.

Also, why has everybody who had been fined not been allowed a 6 hour one to one with BJ to clear things up to get them off the hook?

I hope he is fined and fired.

Ethelfleda · 25/05/2020 12:51

Granted I know very little about the LLAG but they sound scary and definitely definitely are a real thing and not simply a construct of your own overworking mind

You may not know much about the LLAG but we know all about you. We have people everywhere, don’t you know Wink

Fucksakewiseup · 25/05/2020 12:52

Okay okay i admit it. It's me, Dominic. Just wanted to be my usual self and piss people off 🤣😂

Completely agree, op. Huge double standards going on.

MarieQueenofScots · 25/05/2020 12:53

Anyone else remember when trolls on MN had at least a modicum of wit instead of labouring under the impression they’re totes hilarious?

Ah the good ol’ days.

Fucksakewiseup · 25/05/2020 12:54

Irnbroothenoo

Thankyou

Totes hilarious? What are you, a 12 year old girl??

OP posts:

Well that's kind of the point. It IS because of who it is and the fact he was one of the ones telling everyone to stay home. He's in the party telling people they couldn't go to see their dying relatives, that they couldn't attend funerals of their own children. He IS a fucking hypocrite and needs to be held to account.

MarieQueenofScots · 25/05/2020 12:58

Totes hilarious? What are you, a 12 year old girl??

Adopting the type of language someone of your brainpower could understand. It’s a fairly common technique when you need to communicate with your type.

ZaraW · 25/05/2020 12:59

Completely agree, op. Huge double standards going on.

I agree. Every official visiting their second home has been fired apart from Dominic Cummings.

FrippEnos · 25/05/2020 13:00

Irony thy name is Fucksakewiseup

VirginWestCoast · 25/05/2020 13:00

I wouldn't have said that MN was overwhelming pro Labour. Very anti Tory, yes, but most people I know are so that doesn't tend to stand out to me.

Look, DC is a public figure, he should be under more scrutiny than your average Joe. I'd apply the same to Keir Starmer or John McDonnell. Besides, I don't think it takes an astounding level of insight to say that the vitriol surrounding this entire situation is worse because of who Dominic Cummings is. I'd say most people, even the truest, bluest Tories, would take any excuse to get that man out of office.
