Just that really. I loved it. I loved everything about it. I cried, I laughed, it was one of the best films I've ever seen.

Loved it! Worth letting DC under 12 watch it if you think they can cope with a couple of F words (used very deservingly) and JoJo's mother being killed as it's such a good life lesson. Also great for DC learning about WWII or comparative religion.

Also loved it. DS really wanted to go and I reluctantly went with him but thought it was amazing.really sad in parts too of course.

Zaphodsotherhead · 23/05/2020 20:17

I watched it on a long flight at the behest of my DD. Wasn't expecting to love it so much. So sad, so moving, so funny...what great actors they all were!

Plus I love Waititi's stuff, pretty much without reservation.

YouTheCat · 23/05/2020 20:26

I've just ordered the Bluray. It has outtakes.

Doubletrouble99 · 23/05/2020 20:32

Took my 15 year old Autistic DD to see it at the cinema, she was desperate to see it. Loved it, very atmospheric, loved the style of per war Berlin.

OculusThrift · 23/05/2020 20:41

Loved it, everything about it was spectacular. I could watch it over and over again and not get bored with it.

Apolloanddaphne · 23/05/2020 20:58

I have just this minute finished watching it. I adored it. I laughed then I cried. It was like nothing I have seen in a long time. Wonderful.

Esmesmommy · 23/05/2020 21:23

It’s a fantastic film, totally underrated. I’d also recommend Look who’s back on Netflix, not for children but still very good

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 23/05/2020 21:54

Somehow only recently realised Taiki directed Thor Ragnorok which is one of my favs. Explains the mood swing from other 2 Thor movies way more fun.

Also him and other actors reading of James and the Giant peach is pretty amazing.

YouTheCat · 23/05/2020 21:57

I fancied listening to that. I think I've got it bookmarked.

JoMarches · 23/05/2020 22:01

Agh! Why did I read this. Total spoilers, I haven’t seen it yet.

weegiemum · 23/05/2020 22:01

Absolutely fantastic film - ds asked to watch it last week as he'd introduced us to Waititi last year (hunt for the wilder people) and we all laughed and cried - brilliant!

YouTheCat · 23/05/2020 22:05

Jo, don't worry. It has to be seen to be appreciated.

Apolloanddaphne · 23/05/2020 22:27

@JoMarches There aren't really any spoilers on this thread. Just watch it and enjoy.

LemsipLemsipLemsip · 23/05/2020 22:29

Absolutely loved it. Rarely does a film captivate me in that way.

spotlighton · 24/05/2020 01:27

Loved this film!

Mrmojorising71 · 24/05/2020 02:11

Yanbu!! Brilliant movie, even convinced my 16 and 20 year old sons to watch it and they were engrossed, such a different angle to approach the whole topic from, ingenious.

DressesWithPocketsRockMyWorld · 24/05/2020 15:35

Oh I forgot I posted this and I am so delighted so many of you loved it too!!

The look between Captain K and his friend. Omg. Just absolutely beautiful.

There is a pretty big one from ViciousJackdaw 😬

Fucktacula · 26/05/2020 10:23

I really wanted to see this!

Quackersandcheese3 · 26/05/2020 10:30

So good! Generally all the films by that director are brilliant. What we do in the shadows and hunt for the wilderpeople are both amazing.

myredcardiganbob · 26/05/2020 10:32

Saw it in the cinema, absolutely fantastic film.

Fucktacula · 26/05/2020 13:48

Is it streaming anywhere yet?

I don't mean illegally.

fizzybootlace · 26/05/2020 14:43

It's on Rakuten and Sky Store.
