Hi all, long time lurker but first time posting here. DH received the devastating news on Friday that his pay is getting cut by a significant amount. While we feel fortunate that he still has his job, it just feels like a blow when we could do with the money now for a number of things. AIBU to feel pretty down about the whole situation? Hoping to hear from people who can relate and give me some positivity!

@Gwilliams83 there is a long running thread under Money Matters / Credit Crunch called frugaleers. You might find it worth having a look there as my take on that thread is that posters have very different backgrounds and circumstances but they are all pulling together to support each other through financial concerns and/ or to spend less. It's a supportive thread (unlike AIBU)

Sorry to hear about everyone having less money. Flowers My DH is earning significantly less now and has also lost his bonus. Hoping that all of our situations will improve in the not too distant future.

I don't know why there are so many people having a go at the OP, we are all having a rubbish time at the moment, so really whether she earns more than all of us doesn't really matter, she is allowed to be sad about her situation. All the best to you all. Smile

So you can cover the bills, have some savings and also the luxury of one of you just working two days out of seven. Not sure I’m seeing the issue here.

If you are looking for positives, many people have lost their jobs so have no income or lost family members to the virus. Does sort of put it into perspective.
