Drinking a good old G&T. Indian Tonic every time for me.

My favourite craft gin distillery ships direct to door. I splurged on some very nice craft gin to ease the stress of the lock down. It was not cheap.

DH made me a G&T and put Mediterranean tonic water in it!!

AIBU to divorce him over this???

If it’s fevertree refreshingly light Mediterranean tonic then it’s lovely and YABU!

countdowntonap · 16/05/2020 16:22
Grin I love Mediterranean tonic with Gunpowder Irish gin, and a little crack of black pepper.
pussycatinboots · 16/05/2020 16:23

YABU as tonic water is foul! Grin

QueenCranberry · 16/05/2020 16:24

newmumwithquestions this tonic is neither "refreshing" or "light".

It s however Fevertree. tries not to spit it out as it's a waste of gin

I’m going to miss the point of your post entirely op and demand that you tell us about your gin and it’s distillery!

SauvignonBlanche · 16/05/2020 16:46

YABU for not giving the full facts in your OP and making us rely on drip feeds.

We need to know the type of gin so I can look it up on my Ginventory app Gin and ascertain what tonic is best suited before I can vote.

TruffleShuffles · 16/05/2020 16:51

Love the Mediterranean tonic but it needs to be paired with a herby gin in my opinion. It’s fantastic with gin mare and a sprig of rosemary and a slice of orange for garnish.

Thewomeninthemirror · 16/05/2020 16:56

LTB!

MuthaClucker · 16/05/2020 16:57

Med tonic with ice and basil leaf is lovely. Don’t even need the gin!

MuthaClucker · 16/05/2020 16:57

Just kidding, of course you need gin.

SauvignonBlanche · 16/05/2020 16:59

Exactly @TruffleShuffles, I do love it with Gin Mare and Tanquery10.

GinWithASplashOfTonic · 16/05/2020 17:08

Yabu Mediterranean tonic is amazing with my dads gin which has been infused with cardamom and saffron.

Yanbu with any other gin

tamsintamsout · 16/05/2020 17:09

YABU not to use aromatic tonic which is clearly the best.

StillCoughingandLaughing · 16/05/2020 17:11

To be honest I thought all tonic was Indian Blush

Firstawake · 16/05/2020 17:56

May I suggest topping it up with er... More gin to make it better Grin

Windyatthebeach · 16/05/2020 17:58

Op you need a new patio imo...

Neilsfavouritechilli · 16/05/2020 17:59

I'd need to know more about the gin before I give my first LTB. I agree with pp's that with a Gin Mare or something of that ilk it is lush.

Stannisbaratheonsboxofmatches · 16/05/2020 18:00

Oh I like Mediterranean tonic! Why is it bad?

FizzyGreenWater · 16/05/2020 18:16

YANBU. I love tonic water, but I don't like the fevertree Med one at all. It's got a strong distinctive taste of its own. You have to like it, and you have to have it with the right gin.

I imagine that even someone who LOVED the Med tonic wouldn't put it in a gin they actually wanted to be able to taste for itself.

Dollywilde · 16/05/2020 18:18

I’m not that fussy OP but I really want to know what RERE21 posted that could have been so objectionable on a thread about tonic water Grin

MrsTerryPratchett · 16/05/2020 18:18

I used to date a bloke whose whole house used to drink cheap gin and Lilt.

There are worse things in the world.

MrsTerryPratchett · 16/05/2020 18:19

He was very good-looking though.

When men get to this stage in their lives it's so much kinder to take them out and shoot them.

Chocolateandamaretto · 16/05/2020 18:25

Yanbu- fevertree med tonic is weird!
