Drinking a good old G&T. Indian Tonic every time for me.

My favourite craft gin distillery ships direct to door. I splurged on some very nice craft gin to ease the stress of the lock down. It was not cheap.

DH made me a G&T and put Mediterranean tonic water in it!!

AIBU to divorce him over this???

I’m intrigued about @RERE21 post too. Hmm

I still want to know what the fucking gin Gin was!! Grin

YANBU why ruin a good gin with that bleagh

QueenCranberry · 16/05/2020 19:26

OK to all demanding details...

It's Warners gin

The Elderflower, Rhubarb and Honey are particularly nice. And they ship direct to door within 72 hours. Grin

They supply appropriate tonic too.

To be fair to DH, he's just made me another gin after I've walked the dogs (which is why I was slow to respond). This time he put Indian tonic in it and it was much better. He's partly forgiven.

WTH is Mediterranean tonic?! Is this a new thing?

newmumwithquestions · 16/05/2020 21:48

OP was it the honey gin?. If so is it possible your DH read the instructions?

For a perfect G&T, serve our Honeybee Gin with Fever-Tree Mediterranean tonic water, garnish with a slice of lemon or fresh sage leaves, then raise a glass with us: to craft, to the land, to laughter, and loved ones.

SauvignonBlanche · 17/05/2020 08:42

I want some!
The Ginventory app recommends Fevertree Mediterranean with the Rhubarb, Honey and Elderflower ones but not the plain one which should be Indian tonic so if it was that one that you would have Ben quite justified to LTB if he hadn’t made you another Smile

HUCKMUCK · 17/05/2020 08:54

I like it!

While I’ve got you gin officianados, can you help out a relative newbie.

I have gone through the flavoured gin phase and mostly not bothered. I really like Bombay Sapphire. Am I committing gin blasphemy? What does a discerning gin drinker recommend as a good gin?

ScarletFever · 17/05/2020 09:22

Drink the gin you like @huckmuck

newmumwithquestions · 17/05/2020 10:21

By the way if this was advertising by stealth OP then it worked. I just ordered their 4 bottle pack... Blush

QueenCranberry · 17/05/2020 18:58

No definitely not advertising stealth! Just someone who has ordered far too much gin, including ordering 6 large bottles of the Elderflower gin at once to save money.

I told DH that I was being social responsible to the postman because I was making sure he didn't have to do multiple deliveries.

DH has redeemed himself, he's made me a G&T with proper (Indian) tonic. He can drink the Mediterranean muck.

To the PP who asked if it was the honey gin I was drinking, yes it was but I prefer Indain tonic heathen that I am
