Corona fatigue

I’m just fed up of it all really.
Constant news headlines, half my friends banging on that we’ll all die because everyone is going out and being “SO BLOODY SELFISH” (Their caps, not mine). The other half banging on “WE HAVE TO WORK!” Accusations of “middle class privilege”, “cats can pass it on to you”, “no they can’t”, “my child is too precious to sacrifice on your educational corona alter”, “my child needs education”, “I need a haircut”.
This constant oneupmanship of who is suffering more, who is the most virtuous, sacrificing the most, is exhausting.
And ultimately, I actually feel I don’t care anymore. I’ll avoid getting it, passing it on as much as I can. But what will be will be, I can’t control it, I’m just exhausted of trying to or being told I should.

I feel the same at this point. I've had a titful of it all and it's actually getting quite depressing. Doesn't help that I am going stir crazy in the house!

Its definitely oversaturated, between the hysterics both ways I don't really care anymore. I'll follow the guidance, or use my own common sense because I'm not a moron.

On the suffering oneupmanship though, I win. My 5 year old found a RECORDER a few days ago and it's her most treasured possession.

I really felt it today. Seems like years since the toilet roll/tinned tomatoes/pasta panic buying madness and yet it's only a month or two.

I am so done with it all And I want my hair and eyebrows done.

Someone will come along to berate you for being selfish and not realising we're all doomed.

I'm in the same place with it. Maybe I'm being fatalistic, but whatever will be, will be. I've got other things to think about.

I'm with you, I can't keep watching or hearing about it. It's awful, I feel for the people who have been affected by the illness so far, but I have stopped reading articles and listening to news about it for now. I need to keep my mind clear just now.

I'm so over other people. The situation is what it is. We'll all deal with it as works best for us.
The screaming, finger pointing and blame from all sides is really getting me down.

Yep same. Every single word is exactly how I'm now feeling. Just so completely and utterly fucking fed up of it all.

This isn't a way to live I'm sick of it.
I'm an intelligent person I don't want to go to bloody concerts or strike people when I'm out and about but I also wants schools to open and some peace and quite and to see my friends !!!

@majesticallyawkward haha, oh dear. I thought I had it bad when my son came in spitting blood from cutting his lip open. I was midway through a conference call when they all heard me shrewd, “Fuck! what the fuck happened now?” Recorder wins hand down!

Not the OP, but in US.
To most of us, he's white noise - matches his white eyes!
The ones we're focused on are our local governing bodies...and the school districts!
We're all sick of it, too!
Super thankful I threw away the recorder before all this mess...

Yesterday on our local Facebook group someone innocently asked if the local Costa drive thru had reopened. At least half the people said a coffee wasn't worth 'someone's loved one's dying'. A touch melodramatic?

Agreed. Totally fed up. We are in deadlock not just lockdown. No one agrees with each other, half want lockdown other half terrified the economy is dying and want to work.
