So glad somebody mentioned Trainspotting 2.......Spud had me in tears. Also Boy n the Hood which came out when I was living in LA in 1992 and had a profound affect on me.

So glad to see a couple of people mentioned American Beauty. I do think it's actually particularly profound, as opposed to moving or emotionally involving.

Have never seen the film of We Need To Talk About Kevin; on the one hand it would be really interesting, on the other hand I found the book the most harrowing read ever. Really horrific.

BottomleyPottsCoveredInSpots · 14/05/2020 21:41

I found Sliding Doors profound too, as in really thought-provoking, even though it was really just a rom-com. So much about the nature of time and free will and destiny.

CauliflowerBalti · 14/05/2020 22:26

The Babadook.

Criceta · 14/05/2020 22:34

There have been a couple of mentions for the original Solaris, but I love the remake with George Clooney. Made me sob though.

Helocariad · 14/05/2020 22:35

Yes, American Beauty!
