I'm a nervy bee and thought it would be fun to watch with you all!

Wbo the fuck says devilish outside of the 19th century

Teacher's unions will have something to say about school

Rainb0wDrops · 10/05/2020 19:15

What about nurseries / preschool age children, still no mention of when they will go back?

jcurve · 10/05/2020 19:15

Why does he make that jabbing gesture at the screen. It’s like he’s trying to change the channel on the TV (unsuccessfully).

Confusedbutheyho · 10/05/2020 19:15

No mention at all of social bubble seeing their friends/family even in a park!

Not even a mention!

SouthWestmom · 10/05/2020 19:15

@Frlrlrubert thank you. Ds came in and wittered just as I was concentrating.

I'm not sure there was anything helpful after the first bit about going back and issuing guidance for employers

LittleRen · 10/05/2020 19:15

I don’t understand why reception and year 1 but not year 2 who are having a transition to junior. Surely reception and year 1 are harder to distance... I don’t get the logic.

Jilljams · 10/05/2020 19:15

Did he say anything about yr 11? Or have they definitely finished school now?

GrimmsFairytales · 10/05/2020 19:15

How the fuck can you be confused??? It’s clear as day!

Maybe i'm thick then because it seemed pretty damn confusing to me, jumping from point to point and not explaining ideas before moving on.

RedToothBrush · 10/05/2020 19:15

As long as people observe social distancing, no problem.

Not been happening here.

Good luck to the Lakes.

DarkDarkNight · 10/05/2020 19:15

Hate to say it but childcare for those of us going back to work if there’s no school until June? I used grandparents before, so many people are in the same position!

Confusedbutheyho · 10/05/2020 19:15

@Rainb0wDrops exactly what I was waiting for too

Finals1234 · 10/05/2020 19:15

I have a year 6 child and I really can't see why she would be a priority when her SATs are cancelled. She would be better doing a one day transition at high school in Sept.

GoingP0tty · 10/05/2020 19:15

Did anyone understand what Boris said? Or what the conference was about?

StillWeRise · 10/05/2020 19:15

imagine getting YR and Y1 to socially distance
has he ever met a child

ClientQ · 10/05/2020 19:15

Confused is the wrong word.. it just was waffle really
Nothing about the people still shielding
Go back to work. Maybe 🤷🏽‍♀️

inmyshedsmoking2000 · 10/05/2020 19:15

I want to see my boyfriend. We've not seen each other in 7 weeks. This is bullshit.

chipshopElvis · 10/05/2020 19:16

@Beatrix I thought the same!

1forsorrow · 10/05/2020 19:16

Not clear about the travelling, is that any distance I wonder or local or ???

GulliBelle · 10/05/2020 19:16

If we like when you are writing a first year essay, and you trying to wing it because you haven't done the reading, but there's a word count so you have to go through it and pad it out with extra words.

SouthWestmom · 10/05/2020 19:16

The sunbathing is ridiculous. Whatever framework they put round it is lost - the message will be heard as groups of friends can hang out in the park together

CodenameVillanelle · 10/05/2020 19:16

It's not that confusing. Go to work if you can't work at home, by car, foot or cycle if you can

Go out and exercise as much as you want, do what you want outdoors as long as you observe social distancing and stay in households

After May half term they might get years r,1 and 6 back to school, and open some shops

By July they may have some hospitality industries open

Langsdestiny · 10/05/2020 19:16

It was David Brent Shock

savehalloween · 10/05/2020 19:16

I can only assume from that and the new stay alert message they expect people to start mixing outside their household, at their own discretion.

Because WTF? It's one of the things people are most concerned about and he didn't even touch on it.

If kids are in school surely a non vulnerable parent can help with childcare for example?

StealthPolarBear · 10/05/2020 19:16

You can sit in a park.
You can drive to nice places.
Wonder if public toilets will open

Ghostlyglow · 10/05/2020 19:17

Just twaddle and waffle
