Family from other households... and why? No judgment here!

Readytogogogo · 10/05/2020 13:44

Nope. Not at all.

squirrelnutkins1 · 10/05/2020 13:44

Nope

Trichford · 10/05/2020 13:45

Not at all. Am absolutely desperate to and my kids are desperate to see their gran but am following the guidelines.
I don't want to contribute to this lasting even longer than it has!

HeckyPeck · 10/05/2020 13:45

Nope

HilaryBriss · 10/05/2020 13:45

Its a no from me too.

MeerkatMolly · 10/05/2020 13:45

No, we have been told not to 🤷‍♀️.

DollyDoneMore · 10/05/2020 13:46

No, of course not.

Ffsnosexallowed · 10/05/2020 13:46

Yes, in laws all live close and have seen them while out walking, and mil, sil and neice visited our garden last week.

1990shopefulftm · 10/05/2020 13:47

No, I m pregnant and asthmatic and they live a couple of hours away and some of them are vulnerable themselves. I ve experienced loss of relatives that the NHS unfortunately couldn't save, cancers and a genetic condition and I wouldn't do anything to put anyone at risk of that.

kitschplease · 10/05/2020 13:47

No

Been to see my mum a minimum of five times a day, every day. I'm her carer. It's completely illogical to say it's okay for me to do that but that other people can't go to see family and maintain safe distancing.

IrishCream123 · 10/05/2020 13:48

Nope, also not seen my oldest “child” who is 20 but lives at home. But because he was at his girlfriends house when lockdown happened he stayed there.

CountTessa · 10/05/2020 13:48

My sister lives about a 10minute car drive away. When she was self isolating I dropped round some bits for her including toilet roll. So I have seen her. But I haven't seen my parents or brother who have both had birthdays during this time.

lazylinguist · 10/05/2020 13:48

Nope, but then mine all live at least a 4 hour drive away!

Oysterbabe · 10/05/2020 13:49

We haven't. We're really hoping to soon, my children miss their grandparents.

Shinygreenelephant · 10/05/2020 13:49

My mum and gran both live within 5 mins walk, we see them on our daily walks about once a week and chat in the front garden. I once ran to my aunties which is a bit further (too far for the kids) and had a chat through the window. Those who live further out we haven't seen and I miss them terribly, especially my sister as we have kids the exact same age, both on mat leave and usually joined at the hip

itchyfinger · 10/05/2020 13:50

Yes, nearby so go and sit in front garden 2m apart.

PumpkinP · 10/05/2020 13:50

Yes my children are going to my sisters for the day today, judge away. I’m a lone parent to 4, 2 with autism. This is the first time in 7 weeks and I don’t care what anyone thinks.

vanillandhoney · 10/05/2020 13:50

Nope.

The only person I've really seen since lockdown is DH.

VladmirsPoutine · 10/05/2020 13:50

There's so many of these threads pleading with people to 'reveal' themselves as law-breakers. What will it resolve? Do you hope to give someone a good kicking? It's quite clear from news images that there's plenty of people who have no regard for enforcing the strict conditions of lockdown; even in supermarkets distancing is all but a fallacy.

Lordfrontpaw · 10/05/2020 13:50

No. Only really for MIL within striking distance, and I think she would hit us with a broom if we got close.

cushioncovers · 10/05/2020 13:50

I've seen my parents through an open window with them sat at the back of the room. But other than that I've seen nobody from my friends and family. Still working though as Nhs worker

RuggerHug · 10/05/2020 13:50

No.

NameChange7383 · 10/05/2020 13:50

Yes. Lots of family live within a ten minute walk so have stopped at the end of their driveways whilst out walking the dog. And whenever I go to the supermarket I check to see if anyone needs the odd thing, will stop and have a 2m chat if I drop things off.

Stopped for a while mid-lockdown as the strange circumstances were making it harder, but have started to again.
