To wonder how she's not overweight?

Slim! DFriend eats

Breakfast - Smoothie then Diet coke

Lunch - 2 piece chicken and chips with a drink.

Snack - maybe a chocolate bar.

That's it. Sometimes she will eat a bag of crisps to herself in the evening. I'm so jealous and she knows it Grin I'm so baffled as to why she isn't overweight? She's a size 8/10 and looks great.

Drives everywhere so not really walking anything off. Will skip for 20 minutes 3 times a week but that's it. Again, I'm so envious Sad

I’d be interested to know how old she is OP, I’m guessing under 35?

Cosmos45 · 06/05/2020 14:53

Very weird post.. When I was in my early twenties I would have two mcdonalds for lunch (big mac, hamburger and 2 fries) and dinner and was 8st 3

fuckinghellthisshit · 06/05/2020 14:54

She's eating way under 2000 calories and intermittently fasting as she doesn't have dinner. 2 powerful ways to stay slim!

Chiyo666 · 06/05/2020 14:56

As long as my body is getting its daily calorific needs it doesn’t matter what meal I eat it in. Loads of people do fasting.

fuckinghellthisshit · 06/05/2020 14:56

I wouldn't be at all jealous thou - no fruit an veg makes me feel like crap - she must get stomach problems. Is she on a low income? She eats like one of those people on "supersize vs super skinny"

SallyWD · 06/05/2020 15:21

You're envious because she has a crap diet, eats too few calories and is slim? I'm not envious of her at all. She may be slim but she's not healthy and it'll catch up on her. I'm the opposite - I eat very nutritious food but too much sometimes. I'd rather be like me than her.

Pukkatea · 06/05/2020 15:23

I wish I could remember the programme, I don't think it was Supersize vs Superskinny but something similar...where they did an analysis of a woman who seemed to eat nothing but crap and never exercise. They prefaced it with 'she definitely overestimated what she eats and is more active than you think' only for them to film her for 3 days and find...she really did eat absolute truckloads and barely moved off the sofa except to drive. The presenters were baffled and it was brilliant.

PurpleDaisies · 06/05/2020 15:28

Secret eaters?

AcrossthePond55 · 06/05/2020 15:41

Back in my 20s I had a super skinny friend. I mean she was tiny. I always had to watch every mouthful and put on weight easily.

So I had a brilliant idea! I would only eat what she ate! She stays so thin, it'll be easy to keep my weight under control if I eat like her!

I couldn't 'keep up' with her. She ate large portions of calorie-heavy foods and numerous snacks throughout the day. If I'd eaten what she ate during a typical day I'd soon have been as big as a house. It was all about metabolism.

NoveltyFunsies · 06/05/2020 15:42

Fuck me if someone was writing about my diet on an online forum trying to get people to slate me I don’t think I’d be classing them as a ‘DFriend’

BabarEnFamille · 06/05/2020 15:51

More importantly, where is she getting fried chicken and chips from right now because I really want some after reading this

TheOrigBrave · 06/05/2020 16:09

Did you also do the same amount and level of physical activity?

SharonasCorona · 06/05/2020 16:13

With so many people in the world with differing metabolisms and ages, I’m not sure how you can be baffled OP?

Pipandmum · 06/05/2020 16:21

I went away with a friend for a week and we ate exactly the same mouthful by mouthful and did same activities. I gained two pounds and she lost one. I have a friend who can eat over 3000 a day and never gain (she's moderately active, and not a gym goer).
People have different energy requirements. But your friend is not overeating and without a dinner it's not surprising she is slim.

LockedInMadness · 06/05/2020 16:42

Do you mean a family bag? 🤔

TheMarzipanDildo · 06/05/2020 17:56

I have a friend who appears to eat a ton of food but is really slim-like a size 6. I’ve started to notice that she actually eats very little but just does it all in one go! Your friend just doesn’t eat much full stop though.

Booboodisney · 06/05/2020 18:05

It’s not a lot of food.

Mintlegs · 06/05/2020 18:18

Skipping is one of the best exercises for burning calories

crispysausagerolls · 06/05/2020 18:28

I’m here for answers about people drinking WKD in 2020

DamnYankee · 06/05/2020 18:40

That's not much food, especially in the evening, when I think a lot of people eat too much at dinner.
Not very nutritious, though Confused. Not to mention boring - and not likely to improve her dental health.
I could eat a bunch of junk and not gain weight. I'm just wired like that. Do not have much in the way of a figure, unfortunately. Sad
I do not eat junk because it makes me feel ill.

JimmyTheWeed · 06/05/2020 18:52

She's not overweight because she's not eating very much! In my estimation, she can't be consuming more than about 1400 calories at the most. That level of intake would make an active person lose weight, and a very inactive one to at least maintain their weight. I'm losing weight on 1600 calories a day,so 1400 in the majority of people would almost certainly result in weight loss!

Sparklesocks · 06/05/2020 19:13

Maybe just let your friends eat in peace 🤷‍♀️

Thurmanmurman · 06/05/2020 19:20

She's undereating and eating unhealthy as well. She might be skinny but she sure as hell won't be healthy.
