After years of heartbreaking infertility with no known cause and multiple rounds of failed IVF. My period is 6 days late, I have dull cramp but nothing like it normally is. AIBU to wish/hope/pray that amongst this chaos DH and I finally get our happy ending. I have one test left in the house, part of me wants to put myself out of my misery but I know if it's negative I'll completely fall apart and I can't afford that as have a huge week at work. AIBU to think it's finally my turn?

Totally get how 6iu feel. In life of infertility, even hope alone is just is bonus. The fear of the negative and the crush afterwards very real.

Just hold on to the fact that you are not controlling anything, nature is. At some point, you will either be over the moon or very disappointed and sad. There's no middle ground and time won't change this.

What you need us support around you either way.

I think you should test. I tested at 3 days late in the evening & it was a strong positive. I had awful period cramps & they carried on for a few weeks after my BFP.

You'll only get your hopes up more the longer you hold out & if it is negative I think it will hit you harder.

Good luck Op! What you're experiencing sounds really similar to implantation cramping, which I had with both of mine after I'd got positive tests, and was convinced something was wrong. I think you're safe to test anytime as your period is almost a week late. The tests with very faint lines are usually when women are testing before their period is due. Good luck. I think this sounds really promising. Mild cramps are normal during the first few months of pregnancy. And you can test any time of the day to get a positive result as you're now passed your expected period.

It's negative. There are no words. It's Mother's Day here on Sunday and I just want to die.
