Holly on This Morning

I do like watching This Morning but Holly dicking about so much is really pissing me off. She says inappropriate things for laughs but today she was trying to order food on her phone as they came in from the ad break. Then when Phil was doing a link, she tried completing the order. All while she was live on air. Ffs, have some professionalism.

Given how many people find them so so irritating and insufferable as do i, I am curious as to how they have this much staying power.

user764329056 · 05/05/2020 16:05

Massive egos, both of them

Doihavetogotoworkdotcom1 · 05/05/2020 16:17

They’ve definitely had their day!

bluemoon77 · 05/05/2020 16:22

There's a lot of chat online as to reasons for all of this

What is “all of this”?
All of what exactly?

MadameMeursault · 05/05/2020 16:27

They are so annoying, I can’t bear either of them. I’m glad I’m not alone!

Bertucci · 05/05/2020 16:32

Massive chat online about all of what?

rosiepony · 05/05/2020 16:35

That he’s a dirty old perv. Same old story

Tappering · 05/05/2020 16:37

Chat about Pip's reasons for coming out. But you can't discuss it on here as MNHQ will delete the thread (has already happened).

Confusedasusual78 · 05/05/2020 16:53

Only watch on Fridays, so love Eamon and Ruth.

daysofpearlyspencer · 05/05/2020 17:00

Pip has quietly left the family home for his bachelor pad in London, so much for 'we four' and all staying together as one big happy family

bobstersmum · 05/05/2020 17:30

The thread about Phil has absolutely totally vanished, not even showing for me as deleted now.

ChandlerIsTheBestFriend · 05/05/2020 17:38

Still there for me bobster

Gossip site says that a legal warning may have gone to mainstream media sites reminding them of publishing rules. Coincidentally some popular talk sites have also pulled threads speculating on PS.

Bookoffacts · 05/05/2020 17:56

I saw that too and switched over. Their guest from LBC radio didnt seem best pleased either

WobblingMyWigglyBits · 05/05/2020 18:05

I like them but I wish they would calm down a bit.

eveoha · 05/05/2020 18:11

They are both - as my MIL was wont to say ‘’somebody’s bedfellow’’ so it’ll be a devil of a job to oust them from their slots 😡

BlancheDuBlah · 05/05/2020 18:13

The Scofe narrowly avoided any more speculation of his er... lifestyle and even alluded to it on air, clue : he did a runner, certainly not the first, due to a few events that knocked it off the media radar. Then suddenly decided to come out.

All his colleagues know it, some leaked it, Ruth tried to make a stand.

Old side-eyes and husband stands by him regardless.

It's all a bit disturbing.

ChandlerIsTheBestFriend · 05/05/2020 18:34

I’ve just seen an ad that Michael Barrymore will be on TM tomorrow to talk about coping with lockdown. Confused Michael Barrymore?? why? Surely there are actual currently relevant celebrities they could talk to? Michael Barrymore hasn’t been in the public eye for a very long time and any attention he has had has not been for good reasons! What a very odd choice for TM. On the face of it.

Bellagio40 · 05/05/2020 18:37

Also, a bit odd of Phil to move out of the family home in the countryside during quarantine and into a flat in London all by himself.

He won’t be having any visitors there, surely, as it would be breaking the rules.

Tappering · 05/05/2020 18:48

TM has lost the bloody plot. Barrymore of all people? The irony being that many people, including me, think that he should be bloody locked up anyway.

Phil and Holly are a very tired combo. The whole show comes across as a cliquey bitch-fest. Time for some new faces - but that won't happen as long as JMG maintains its stranglehold on ITV presenters and 'talent'. The whole thing is very incestuous.

PinkiOcelot · 05/05/2020 19:23

Can’t stand either of them. Overpaid pair of arses.

1981m · 05/05/2020 20:19

I find eamon really annoying and a rubbish presenter. He makes the same old jokes, interrupts everyone especially Ruth and the guests and then manages to bring any interview back to himself. I think he has a huge ego. Ruth I like.

bobstersmum · 05/05/2020 20:27

I bloody love Eamon and Ruth!

ANoiseAnnoys · 05/05/2020 20:41

I like Eamonn and Ruth - I don’t find Eamonn arrogant at all I just think he has a very dry humour that not everyone gets.

I don’t watch TM any more but love a pp’s suggestion of Richard and Judy doing a rival show - that I would watch. Even my dh likes Richard Madeley and he doesn’t like anyone usually!

I also really love Vanessa feltz - don’t know why she’s not on more stuff she’s a great broadcaster. Very down to earth and honest.

Phil & Holly are a bit marmite I think.

BeenThereDone · 05/05/2020 21:02

Funny how all the negativity about how difficult he is to work with has gone away since he 'came out'.

Not another mention of any of it.
