Holly on This Morning

I do like watching This Morning but Holly dicking about so much is really pissing me off. She says inappropriate things for laughs but today she was trying to order food on her phone as they came in from the ad break. Then when Phil was doing a link, she tried completing the order. All while she was live on air. Ffs, have some professionalism.

Cannot stand either of them .
They’re so wrapped up in their own hype they think they can get away with anything and still be flavour of the month ,including being ridiculously unprofessional

shinyredbus · 05/05/2020 13:10

Yeah I mean I’ve never seen them - but from what I’ve read they seem think they’re the best thing since sliced bread. Seem pretty childish too. Hmm

rooarsome · 05/05/2020 13:11

I can't watch TM any more, the pair of them wind me up. I don't understand how they have such a huge following.

OneandTwenty · 05/05/2020 13:12

YABU simply because if you don't like something on tv, just.. don't watch it?

It's not like there's only 1 tv channel available. When viewers are not there, shows get the boot.

HazelBite · 05/05/2020 13:14

Much prefer Eamon and Ruth, also like it when Rochelle stands in, or Rylan.
I have to switch off when Trinny comes on she dresses like a clown!

eddiemairswife · 05/05/2020 13:16

I never liked Richard with his over-long hair. He reminded me of a sleazy sales rep.

YetiAnotherNameChange · 05/05/2020 13:17

Just don't watch it if it annoys you that much.
Why start a thread?

CoolCarrie · 05/05/2020 13:17

Her husband is a tv producer, and his daughter is his agent and also is an agent for Rochelle and others, so they like to keep it in the family.
Fern was brilliant, warm and funny, not up her arse the way those two are now. Can’t stand Gino either, he is a thieving arse

SpiritEssence · 05/05/2020 13:18

I cannot stand both of them. I dont like phillip Schofield he should of stuck doing Gordon the Gopher Grin

Flymetothetoon · 05/05/2020 13:18

Some bits are good - I like the cooking segments and when they have a couple of guests to discuss the topics of the day.
My secret is to record it and whizz through all the shite to the bits that are worth watching (to me)

lynsey91 · 05/05/2020 13:18

They are both awful. Holly comes across as such a silly giggly airhead although I am sure in real life she has some intelligence.

I used to like Richard and Judy. I also quite like Eamonn and Ruth although don't watch it that often even with them

Isitweekendyet · 05/05/2020 13:20

Phillip Schofield sets my teeth on edge.

I don't understand why he is such a national treasure.

I found the entire 'announcement' that he was gay an utterly abhorrent breach of his wife and children's privacy, regardless of their 'unconditional acceptance'.

Silentplikebath · 05/05/2020 13:21

I much prefer Eamonn and Ruth. I’m looking forward to the summer holidays when they do a longer stint while the others are off!

1forsorrow · 05/05/2020 13:22

I can't stand Eamonn. I used to watch it when it was Richard and Judy, I've never really watched Phil and Holly but I remember Eamonn from when he was on something else and he always seemed so full of himself. Wasn't there a story about him bullying someone? Anthea Turner? He also ridiculed kids feeling bullied, said something about that is normal.

FreakStar · 05/05/2020 13:27

These threads are so dull, just repeating the same stuff! Why start yet another thread about Phil and Holly and how smug they are when there's already been so many?

daysofpearlyspencer · 05/05/2020 13:27

TM needs a total 're boot, it looks tired now, both Holly and Phil are beyond tiresome, would be great to have some new fresh faces present it.

Rosehip10 · 05/05/2020 13:27

Holly is an airhead

bluemoon77 · 05/05/2020 13:28

Can’t stand them. They come across very insincere.

pilates · 05/05/2020 13:30

Irritating to say the least

BlessedBeTheFruitCake · 05/05/2020 13:30

Not a fan either. Both seem so smug and Holly squeaking gets on my nerves.

cookiesandcream27 · 05/05/2020 13:30

I think the time of them being the nations sweethearts has long since passed. The whole turning up hungover after the NTAs really did it for me. Not at all believable - just a way to make people think they are 'legends'. Massively gone off Phil since his coming out - nothing to do with his sexuality, everything to do with being lying and deceitful and most likely only admitting it before he was outed.

Holly is ok but they both behave really stupidly as if they are beyond being professional and the show is their playground. It's cringe to watch frankly.

Pumpkinpie1 · 05/05/2020 13:32

I stopped watching when fern left.

1forAll74 · 05/05/2020 13:34

I don't like to watch anything that Holly and Phil are on. I think they would be more suited to some small children's programmes, as they are both giggly and irritating. I did see a clip of the programme, when Phil announced he was gay, and that was pure over the top cringe stuff, all the sofa hugs and tears stuff.

I remember the days when the lovely Carol Keating and Selina Scott did morning tv,, just two to mention, who were calm and classy presenters.

ALovelyBitOfSquirrel · 05/05/2020 13:35

There's a lot of chat online as to reasons for all of this.

Confused any more clues?

JudgeRindersMinder · 05/05/2020 13:36

I used to like when John Leslie (I know that’s a bit controversial!) and Fern did it. Phil and Fern started off ok but it’s kind they’re caricatures of themselves now. The drunk after the awards was genuinely funny the first time, but they’ve kicked the arse out of it now. I’ve not seen more then 5 minutes of it here and there recently but I’m just left thinking they need to grow the fuck up now
