There are so many different sites similar, like Netmums and blogs groups for mums, why is this new site such a cause for concern with HQ and the more fangirl thirst brigade?
It's almost like the campaign against Bounty which just so happened to have its own, MN style chat forum....
It's like twitter being fine with Instagram and Facebook but being shit scared of TikTok and trying to get everyone on twitter to avoid it by smears?

I'd forgotten about that site! I went on it after it being mentioned on here. Frankly, I found it boring and didn't like the comments about Mumsnet which had been good for so many, for several years. I don't think it will last, frankly.

What has made you think mumsnet is concerned..

They stopped the batshit spamming, which they do with all spamming, but it would appear from what I’ve seen the new site is struggling badly, no one is interested so they took to doing some unpleasant spamming on here, so it’s them that’s concerned not this site.

Bit of an odd post op. It’s almost like you’re trying to spam too and hide it..

I don’t think Mumsnet HQ are particularly worried about anything other than the spamming the “creators” and fan girls of the new site are doing here, and possibly IP infringement.

Users of this site are pissed off because of the spamming and nonsensical posts created to try and drive people over to the new site. Netmums et al don’t feel the need to come here in droves to try turn people away from MN, they get users on their own merit not by slagging off another forum.

A new website called mums chat. They are really struggling to get it off the ground, so have taken to periodically spamming mumsnet,

It started off nicely enough with come and have a look at our new site, then moved to spamming every board and slagging off mumsnet with particularly unpleasant posts like “mn is going bust come to us” “mn is all worried about us”

Yet as I’ve just seen, you’re the only person in there and it’s full of threads with people saying “hello is anyone there”.

Seems they created a website and didn’t have the money to advertise it. And recruited some folks who don’t have the common sense they were born with to try to get members,

We may be vipers, but we’ve a strong sense of fair play. Hence the members on here send them packing.
