There are so many different sites similar, like Netmums and blogs groups for mums, why is this new site such a cause for concern with HQ and the more fangirl thirst brigade?
It's almost like the campaign against Bounty which just so happened to have its own, MN style chat forum....
It's like twitter being fine with Instagram and Facebook but being shit scared of TikTok and trying to get everyone on twitter to avoid it by smears?

I can’t imagine the new site is a concern for anyone. Let’s face it, it’s hardly competition to any of the established sites.

It's the parent company that astonishes me- a whole chat site set up to discuss instagrammers wtf? Who even has the headspace or even cares?

Because they are so desperate to be seen as the next great thing and drum up business they are spamming here with pathetic posts trying to discredit MN.

I doubt MNHQ are worried but they'll delete spam like they always do. I had a look at Mumschat but it's so quiet it's not for me. It was set up as a Mumsnet copy and personally I'd prefer a new forum with a unique selling point not a knock off. I have checked back a few times to see if things are improving but many 'how terrible is Mumsnet' and 'let's dig the dirt on Justine' threads are tedious. I'm also not a fan of Tattle (who is run by the same people).

I had a look yesterday after just hearing about it, I thought it was pretty good and seems to be quite busy

I just had a look at the other site, it actually looks pretty good, I think there is enough space for both to co-exist plus they have a completely different feel to it than Mumsnet.

I just spent some time looking at the 82 page thread about Justine which has descended into searching online for pictures of MN mods and commenting on how they have aged etc. Utterly bizarre.
