What can I binge watch today?

Am exhausted and want to spend a day on the sofa watching tv. What’s a good binge watch?

I have Netflix, Prime and Now TV.

Things I love:
Luther, Happy Valley, Dead to Me, The Thick of It, Afterlife, and I do enjoy a good docu-series as well.

I don’t tend to get on so well with a lot of the big American Netflix series with a ridiculously large number of episodes per season - as I often lose interest.

Any ideas gratefully received

Friday Night Dinner on Channel 4 player.

Just finished watching “Dark” on Netflix - it’s a really good sci-fi thriller, in German with subtitles!
Also, if you haven’t seen this yet - “Better Call Saul” on Netflix as well. A prequel to Breaking Bad, both the dialogue and acting are really wonderful!

FLEABAG!

I’ve really enjoyed Last Tango In Halifax. I feel like I can’t handle anything too gritty at the moment!

Schitts creek. Hilarious.

Amazon prime - upload. Funny, rude, thriller.

Wallywobbles · 04/05/2020 21:39

Normal People on BBC iPlayer. Best thing I've seen in decades. Really really talented actors.

bellybelly · 04/05/2020 21:41

Not sure if anyone said. Normal People on screen much better than book imo

Unbelievable on Netflix good too

MissConductUS · 04/05/2020 21:51

If you didn't see it when it was broadcast, Foyle's War was brilliant.

Criminal Minds, Good Witch and Supernatural are my current binges and all very good.

topazdiamondsandemeralds · 04/05/2020 21:54

You (with Penn Badgley) is brilliant. Smile Really enjoyed it.

priya38 · 04/05/2020 22:06

Ive just finished watching the series of Marcella and it was absolutely, on the edge of your seat, grippingly brilliant, from start to finish.

Nottherealslimshady · 04/05/2020 22:08

Orphan black on netflix was awesome! Just finished 2 seasons of Between which is pretty good. The OA is also good but has been cancelled on a massive cliffhanger.

MT2017 · 04/05/2020 22:16

Can't believe no-one's suggested Brain-dead (Prime)!

Fantastic black humour 🐜

Another vote for Unforgotten, I absolutely loved it

Womencanlift · 04/05/2020 23:41

Into The Night is a new show on Netflix. Really good and only 6 episodes so easy to binge (I did on Saturday evening). It is from Belgium and the English is dubbed but after a few minutes you don’t even notice.

MulticolourMophead · 04/05/2020 23:58

I've been binge watching some Chinese TV series with sub titles. The historical/costume/fantasy dramas are good for passing some time. Latest one (which I think was from 2017) is called the King of Blaze in English.

Another vote for mindhunter. Brilliant series, based on setup of behavioral science team within FBI. Absolutely fascinating!!
We also live Ozark.
We are living Love/Hate, but not sure if available outside Ireland.

peachypetite · 05/05/2020 06:05

Money heist but the Spanish original (casa de papel) with subtitles is so much better than the dubbed English.
