2020 is now so weird that the Pentagon just confirmed UFOs and it’s barely news.

Wtf is next?

OP posts:
blubellsarebells · 29/04/2020 01:29

They're softening us up for when trump outs himself as an alien life form live on tv.
I don't know.
No idea why they are sharing this now, ive always known they were out there.

SomeHalfHumanCreatureThing · 29/04/2020 01:31

What?

I saw this line on Twitter earlier though.

SomeHalfHumanCreatureThing · 29/04/2020 01:33

Ah OK. Unexplained aerial phenomena from years ago that's just been declassified.

Interesting timing

Mummyoflittledragon · 29/04/2020 01:39

I saw that earlier. Yes, interesting timing.

ItsGoingTibiaK · 29/04/2020 01:39

UFOs have always been real.

They’re objects. That fly. And are unidentified. (Or, in Pentagon terminology, Unidentified Aerial Phenomena)

That doesn’t mean they’re aliens, or ghostly apparitions or anything else. It just means that no one knows what they are.

My2centsare · 29/04/2020 01:43

I find it terrifying . This pandemic is doing my head in, I can't handle aliens.

sobeyondthehills · 29/04/2020 02:00

The Queen is going to come out as a werewolf as is the majority of royal families around Europe.

MissAnanke · 29/04/2020 02:01

It's great timing when you think about it. People are going a wee bit stir crazy being stuck indoors. They opened B&Q/Garden Centres here and in the US (probably Europe too) before the weekend so that people have something to do to distract themselves from virus fatigue. This appeals to other people, they'll be talking about it on conspiracy sites all week.

kmc1111 · 29/04/2020 02:12

It’s barely news because it’s an old story. The videos were released last year and the Pentagon commented then. All that’s happened now is they’ve ‘officially’ released them.

JaneJeffer · 29/04/2020 02:16

I thought they were lizards?

This exactly.

Before he became President, Jimmy Carter reported seeing a UFO. It was later determined to be a sighting of Venus.

Point is, as explained previously, UFO simply means the object seen hasn't been identified. Tha vast majority of reports are cleared up later. It's just that these ones haven't, as yet.

Raccoon2020vision · 29/04/2020 02:28

Hm. I had a blotch just like that on photos I took with a digital camera for ages until I figured out it was time to get the little air blower thingie out and blow the bit of dust away.

Personally I think if there's alien life out there that's intelligent enough to master space travel in a form we'd understand, they've long since put up a "Nothing of Interest" sign outside our planet.

That's unless, of course, they're not aliens and they're us from the future, having finally mastered the Hadron Collider/singularity/other time travel method and come back to try and warn us about, oh, I don't know, messing about with nature and the environment, say.....

Theflushedzebra · 29/04/2020 02:31

I spent the afternoon explaining to DD12 that they are UFOs and that unidentified doesn't mean "aliens". She was really scared!

Fascinating stuff though.

Worstyear2020 · 29/04/2020 02:40

We are probably being studied without knowing. Smile

emmcan · 29/04/2020 03:02

Go on YouTube, look for Cmdr David Fravor. Really nice guy, high ranking USAF pilot. Very interesting to watch. He filmed exactly the same thing a couple of times.

Mimishimi · 29/04/2020 03:06

We saw one once.

WyfOfBathe · 29/04/2020 03:06

This is exactly what I was going to write. Besides, as another poster said, these images came out years ago.

It's barely news because "we still don't recognise an object we didn't recognise a few years ago" is... barely news.

dickensinthepark · 29/04/2020 04:12

We are probably being studied without knowing.

If they are looking for intelligent life on Earth then we could be studied for some time.

Mummyoflittledragon · 29/04/2020 04:47

dickens
Lol 😂

KatherineJaneway · 29/04/2020 05:38

Because it's old news.

sobeyondthehills · 29/04/2020 06:04

I thought they were lizards?

That is silly check why Queen Victoria had hemophilia

Sostenueto · 29/04/2020 06:22

If there are aliens and they were intelligent they would take one look at the human race and say 'blow this let's get the hell outta here these are too weird and stupid to bother about!"😮

LiesHumansTellThemselves · 29/04/2020 06:26

Imagine everyone was werewolves.

That would be so much better.

Gingernaut · 29/04/2020 06:27

@JaneJeffer, according to Doctor Who, Queen Victoria was bitten by a werewolf.

Mrhodgeymaheg · 29/04/2020 06:35

Perhaps it is a distraction for the conspiracy theorists so they don't talk about coronavirus theories.

Agree with PP though, more likely another nation testing their technology somewhere they aren't meant to, to see if they get detected.
