To think getting dressed everyday will make me feel better

I have not worn makeup or done hair since lockdown.

Would it make a difference in my mood to get dressed every day and put on a full face?

Does it help anyone feel better?

I can’t say I do it every day but up and dressed, inc. shower, bit of make up and blow drying my fringe out of my eyes (even if the rest is in a ponytail) definitely helps.

But if nothing else, if you have perfume or a scent that gives you a boost somehow (whether hand cream, hand wash scent that lingers, essential oils used around the house) that could also be helpful. Even just the smell of wearing freshly washed clothes is a boost which might help,

I'm still going out to work as usual, but on my days off it can be hit and miss atm. My usual pre lockdown morning routine for a day off was get up, go to the gym for 8am, back home and straight in the shower, have breakfast in my dressing gown, put a bit of make up on and get dressed. But lately there's been some days when I've sat on the sofa in my pyjamas all day and not showered until 5pm Blush. I need to get back in a routine, I feel a lot better on the days when I do get showered and dressed first thing and put a bit of make up and perfume on. I also need to start going to bed earlier Grin

@FreakStar

Would you share where you bought this from? I could do with a boost.

FreakStar · 01/05/2020 15:23

@KatherineJaneway I bought a few bits from hush- I got the Aimee joggers in Leopard print and a couple of sweatshirts. Not cheap but nice quality, and seeing as I'm not going out at all spending anything then I could justify them. I've even been to work in the joggers as they were smart enough to wear out not just round the house.
