After reading (and getting very hungry) reading the unhealthy treat, I started thinking about getting a list of healthy options to eat.

I absolutely love green veggies steamed served with a knob of butter and chilli flakes or pine nuts (or both).

What’s your go-to?

Hummus on a crunchy celery stick
or a handful of raspberrys

DS1 likes a bowl of sweetcorn or peas with a bit of butter or ketchup

Humous on wholemeal toast

Any portion of fruit - banana, berries, grapes, oranges etc.

Handful of unsalted roasted cashews

Wholemeal toast and butter
Banana bread
Fruit salad and Greek yoghurt

Raw sugar snap peas or baby plum tomatoes are my go to for a grab and go snack. I can get through A LOT of sugar snap peas!

Can’t eat either at the minute because of a jaw problem so currently living off Cadbury mini rolls as they are soft and I can mush them without chewing. Not so healthy!

I need to find some healthy, soft foods that require no prep.

ArriettyJones · 27/04/2020 12:04

Almonds.
Mange tout.

Bananas? Don’t try and “live off” them, though - too much potassium Smile

ButtWormHole · 27/04/2020 12:41

I love frozen berries, still frozen

LightACandleHoney · 27/04/2020 12:43

Sadly I’m allergic to bananas and also have a dairy intolerance so yoghurts are out too. Currently living off soup but I’m fed up with it. (Even mini rolls I need to cut up because I can’t open my mouth wide enough to bite through them)

Imboredinthehouse · 27/04/2020 12:47

A stick of celery with a drizzle of almond butter

A couple of dates drizzled with almond butter and a twist of salt.

I’m out of almond butter and now I really want both of those.

ArriettyJones · 27/04/2020 12:50

You poor thing @LightACandleHoney . That sounds miserable. I hope you can get some treatment soon.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 27/04/2020 12:53

I love boiled eggs as a snack, also cheese and crackers although I can go a bit overboard with these. Nice to see a bit of suger snap pea love on here, I go through phases of devouring them by the pack load!
