Defend the NHS on mumsnet and you’re thread is deleted. Slag it off and the thread stays.
I’ve been posting on mumsnet for nearly 15 years and I’ve never been so disappointed.

OP posts:

They didn’t say anything. They just deleted it.
I have reported the main NHS bitching thread about 10 times but it’s still there.
And and the one saying all doctors are forcing people with learning disabilities to have DNARs is still in place because, you know, we’re all murderers! That thread stays too.

Most of the country is applauding the work of NHS employees but mumsnet HQ seemingly isn’t.

You need to start a new thread, OP, on a different subject! This one will surely be deleted because it is not an original subject, it's about a previous thread that you posted.

VladmirsPoutine · 28/04/2020 11:27

This too is going to disappear.

Beebie2 · 28/04/2020 11:33

Yawns (and then gets back to teaching remotely!)

saraclara · 28/04/2020 11:34

Am NHS bitching thread is a rarity. Btching threads about teachers are almost a daily event.

You're going to need to develop a thicker skin, OP.

saraclara · 28/04/2020 11:36

And and the one saying all doctors are forcing people with learning disabilities to have DNARs

That thread doesn't accuse ALL doctors of anything. Unlike your OP which implies that all teachers are doing next to nothing.

RedRed9 · 28/04/2020 11:41

What was the deletion message?

SpanishFly · 28/04/2020 12:01

What's a taat?

Cabinfever10 · 28/04/2020 12:11

@Spanishfly
It means thread about a thread

Warsawa31 · 28/04/2020 12:17

I started a thread about religion - started to get some responses and it was deleted as it “going no where good” thought the idea of a forum was to have a discussion about all manor of things - and they wanted to me to pay a fiver a month for the privilege

Haffiana · 28/04/2020 12:18

Verdict - complain about teachers and the thread is deleted. Slag off the NHS and the thread stays.

This is because you have god-like powers OP. Just think - you can Make Things Happen on Mumsnet!!

You should post a few more threads like those, and watch it happen again.

CallmeAngelina · 28/04/2020 12:26

There were so many teacher-bashing threads being started up around that time, that I'm not sure I can remember which was yours. But are you the poster who was furious with your child's school because no work had apparently been set, but was failing to remember that it was actually the Easter holidays?

ilovesooty · 28/04/2020 12:37

@Warsawa31 no one is expecting you to pay to have a discussion.

pinkblanchmange · 28/04/2020 12:40

So you're quite happy to slag off teachers but no ones allowed to slag off the nhs ??? Is that the gist of it ?

YetAnotherBeckyMumsnet · 28/04/2020 16:05

Hey @Mintychoc1 - we took your thread down for a few reasons - we appreciate that your questions wrt to your children's teachers were entirely reasonable, and we don't wish to detract from your personal experience - but unfortunately, a title which 'wonders what teachers are actually doing' is not going to invite a measured response, we're afraid. And this is broadly what happened on your thread - it got people's backs up, attracted a few stirring trolls and in the end was not offering much in the way of advice or support to anyone - nor was it especially appealing for teachers to respond on there.

If you're annoyed/puzzled about any of our decisions, you can always drop us a line or post in site stuff. Thanks, and apols if we've not been clear about all of this. Flowers

signing in for what I hope has a deletion message.
