We had a joiner round to give us a quote.

£900 for the following:

To fit two shelves in three cupboards (2 airing cupboards and one cupboard downstairs).

2 poles (clothes poles) in two cupboards.

£900?! Aibu?! That seems extortionate?

Often tradesmen won't charge a half day rate though as where do you think they are going to get another half day from ?

Their second small job of the day ?
Not all tradesmen go home and put their feet up after half a days work. Not if they're in demand they don't..
