To think everyone should give this a go!

Saw this workout online, posted by a super fit fitness model. Didn't believe it could be done in her mind boggling time of 18 minutes. DH and I gave it a try. Granted we nearly died but managed it in 23 minutes. I'm feeling pretty proud of myself given I'm 15 years more senior than said fitness model - anyone else fancy trying it?

Thanks op I did it in 24 mins will try it again in a week and see if I can improve. I'm in my 40s but usually do Crossfit and lots of running etc so quite fit it's nice to try something different so thankyou.

SimonJT · 18/04/2020 11:23

If you did it in 23 minutes there is no way you were using the correct form, so if you want an injury go ahead.

I do insanity most days, I could do it faster but it wouldn’t be as effective and I would end up with an injury.

AuntieStella · 18/04/2020 11:26

Now that I know an air squat is just a fancy name for squat, I think I could do all of this except the press ups (I've never been any good at pressups!)

I'm over 50, btw, so please don't think you have to be really young to tackle a list like that.

I expect it would take me considerably longer than OP though - especially the number of sit ups and plank to elbow (though infund that easier than holding a plank)

It does take time to build fitness - if you rewind 3 or 4 years I was heavily overweight and almost entirely inactive

I have no crisps. Will accept a handful from those on this thread who are blessed with them.

tiredanddangerous · 18/04/2020 11:54

I read the very first bit and decided not to read the rest. I don’t want to do 100 of anything thanks.

I can imagine breaking a wrist (or two!!!) trying to do a burpee!

Thighmageddon · 18/04/2020 12:06

Here Twenty have some of mine

QuestionableMouse · 18/04/2020 12:08

I pulled a muscle in my back yesterday in the garden so can't partake I'm afraid.

kingkuta · 18/04/2020 12:14

Exactly this.

Doodlepip1 · 18/04/2020 12:14

Thank you!

Mucklowe · 18/04/2020 12:16

That sounds hellish!

TheReluctantCountess · 18/04/2020 12:16

No thanks

TypingError · 18/04/2020 12:18

I’ll give the dog a longer weekend walk today, and do a bit of weeding, as the gardener isn’t coming at the moment. If it brightens up I’ll maybe go swimming

That sounds much more fun. And normal.

P1nkHeartLovesCake · 18/04/2020 12:19

No thanks.

I’ll tell you what you need, take a wine glass from the cupboard, half fill the wine glass with chilled white wine, lift glass to lips......

AmelieTaylor · 18/04/2020 12:20

😂😂🤣😂. Not a fucking hope. My knees are shot to shit.

But it's ok @Isobored. I'll admit to being young, fit & bloody obnoxious once upon a time too! Enjoy what you've got while you've got it!

AmelieTaylor · 18/04/2020 12:22

Oh & yes, you'll do more harm than good racing through it. form!

barnabybenny · 18/04/2020 12:22

Why do people who suddenly start working out start to enlist everyone else? There are thousands of them.

No thanks OP, thanks for the suggestion. I'll stick to something that won't kill me Grin.

Isobored · 18/04/2020 12:22

@kingkuta @SimonJT
If your infomercial fitness has got your form on point I'd be keen to hear your timing as a bench mark.

toomuchtooold · 18/04/2020 12:24

To be honest I was like nope the first time I saw the word burpees, and then I noticed it's repeated throughout!

EarringsandLipstick · 18/04/2020 12:33

Thanks OP I'm totally going to try this!

Isobored · 18/04/2020 12:34

I've found my next one and can't bloody wait !!!
When I told DH his response was fuck that.

Went back & RTFT, the replies are hilarious 😂

OmgThereAreNoPlanesAboveMeNow · 18/04/2020 12:43

This sounds like my friend's crazy CrossFit stuff😱

I've been doing Joe Wick's 15 min HIIT and I am already making copious amount of anti inflamatory tea (ginger, fresh tumeric and about 10 other things) to calm my joints down. Mind me, I should have expected it with me being size 20.
Whatever you posted here would actually (not joking) kill me. Already his 15 min puts my heart rate into dangerous levels and we don't even do burpees and stuff!

Re the "surely fit people can manage". No. Everyone is fit differently. My fit yoga friend (trainer) wouldn't probs manage first 3 exercises on that list. Nor would my marathon running friend imo.

I've just realised that for a lazy non sporty size 20 person, I have quite a number of really sporty friends!

Witchend · 18/04/2020 12:55

Not sure whether you joined to promote it or whether to show off how good your time was...
Saw it on fb the other day.
Took me only 2 minutes 35.67 seconds.

to read and dismiss it, which wasn't bad as I googled a couple of the terms and concluded I wasn't that stupid
