To think everyone should give this a go!

Saw this workout online, posted by a super fit fitness model. Didn't believe it could be done in her mind boggling time of 18 minutes. DH and I gave it a try. Granted we nearly died but managed it in 23 minutes. I'm feeling pretty proud of myself given I'm 15 years more senior than said fitness model - anyone else fancy trying it?

What is an 'air squat' please? It sounds like euphemism for a fart.

Iwantacookie · 18/04/2020 10:12

What are burpees because I'm imagining standing there burping but that cant be much of a work out.

cacaca · 18/04/2020 10:13

Eh no.

Isobored · 18/04/2020 10:14

Burpee - the important part is whole body to floor !

Air squat - you will struggle to sit on the toilet after too many of these !

But the point is you do it at your own pace .... surely everyone could have a crack even if it was over a weekend or week?!

Did you join just to post this? What's your connection?

I'm sure everyone can do this - no medical conditions whatsoever that would prevent it Hmm

thenightsky · 18/04/2020 10:22

No clue what 80% of those things are.

Redwinestillfine · 18/04/2020 10:28

Nope. I prefer to enjoy my life!

Pricklefish · 18/04/2020 10:32

When I do burpees my boobs fall out of the front of my sports bra.
Just sayin.

Isobored · 18/04/2020 10:41

@Pricklefish time to get a better bra?

OP posts:
dancingbadger · 18/04/2020 10:44

I'm going to give it a go, can't resist a challenge!

Thighmageddon · 18/04/2020 10:46

pricklefish I've got a shock absorber running bra, nothing can escape from it.

Pricklefish · 18/04/2020 10:50

It's the Sudden Boob Growth associated with working twi jobs for ages and being laid off from both. I'd rather shrink them again than buy a bigger bra. It's ok for running!

FilledSoda · 18/04/2020 10:55

You must think everyone is physically able.

snackcollector · 18/04/2020 10:56

@Pricklefish haha! What a great reason to not do

snackcollector · 18/04/2020 10:57

Burpees! Not sure what happened there

Whiskas1Kittens · 18/04/2020 10:58

What does it all mean? Is it somebody's shopping list?

Isobored · 18/04/2020 11:00

Ok 100% agree if you have a medical condition then this isn't for you. But surely most fit and able people could give this a crack Smile

Bloodybridget · 18/04/2020 11:01

Pilates for seniors in this household, thanks very much. And we're glad when it's over.

Bloodybridget · 18/04/2020 11:02

But congrats to OP anyway!

iklboo · 18/04/2020 11:10

I've torn a ligament in my pelvis. I'm chuffed to mint balls if I can get to the loo.

DrinkSangriaInThePark · 18/04/2020 11:16

But surely most fit and able people could give this a crack

But why should we? I can't stand this assumption that fitness should involve all that gruelling (and boring) stuff. I walk 5k briskly every day and that's great exercise that I'll be able to sustain until old age.

Some people like that stuff, some don't. Don't try to apply your own taste to everyone.

AngryRedhead · 18/04/2020 11:18

Must be nice to live in a magical wonderland where everyone is young, fit and able bodied.
