To think this wedding (as it's been planned) won't be going ahead!

Oldest friend is getting her dream wedding in early July - In Europe with friends and family (from all over the world - including me, one of her bridesmaids) she is adamant it will all be over by then and the wedding will go ahead as planned. AIBU to think it won't, suppliers may have gone bust, family / friends may not be able to travel / some countries may still ban international travel - the list is endless. Of course she can get married, have a beautiful wedding but it might be wise to explore some alternatives?
I'm heartbroken for her, but don't know how to softly break it to her that I (as well as many other guests, may not be able to travel as planned) or AIBU and a bit of a wedding grinch?!

Sadly for your friend it won't be happening. Party (and holiday) season is totally off for a considerable time.
I'm surprised that she has not contacted her insurance company and begun planning a future date.

Sorry for your friend. I think it’s unlikely that her wedding will go ahead. Although you haven’t stated where in Europe, DH is a pilot and currently grounded, at present he is receiving updates about Europe & border controls. France is apparently not proposing opening their borders before October so any weddings/hols/trips to France are most likely off. We have a mass-family trip booked to Corfu in July which also doesn’t seem very likely. 😐

My friend has had her European wedding cancelled in May which was she upset about BUT the wedding company who are organising it have got her hopes up again by rescheduling it for mid-July. I think she is going to be very upset when they cancel that one as well

So are Australian borders completely closed for tourists till next year?
We were hoping to go for Oct/Nov...

Australia has closed its to non-Australian residents and citizens and their immediate families.

Australian officials have said it will remain in effect until it’s safe to lift and have said the coronavirus outbreak and related disruptions in Australia could last at least six months.
