I stupidly got my weeks mixed up and have just realised I'm supposed to be hosting a zoom quiz tomorrow night (not next week!) I've done a little prep and got a good advertising section together I think (slogans and pictures) but I really need good general knowledge/geography etc

The guy who done last weeks quiz was brilliant (wasn't too hard all questions you knew you should know the answer to iykwim) and I thought at the time how glad I was I didn't have to follow his class act now it turns out I do have to Blush

Name any 3 of the jobs Miss Rabbit performs in Peppa Pig.

helicopter pilot, aquarium caretaker, gift shop worker (at the aquarium, at the beauty spot, at the museum, at the theme park), supermarket cashier, face painter (tiger faces only), nurse, dental nurse, librarian, bus driver, train driver, ice cream vendor, theme park ticket seller, recycling centre crane operator. There are probably a lot of jobs I’ve missed!

If you are doing it on Zoom, can you share pictures? Because the best geography section I ever saw at a quiz was using satellite images of cities and asking people to identify them. They had zoomed out so that it was a fairly large section of the city and then people had to figure it out based on things like where the rivers /coastline were etc. Prominent landmarks were there but were zoomed out enough you couldn't see them specifically so teams would be having conversations like... "Mmm, I think this is Paris, this is the Seinne and here's the Eiffel Tower" type stuff.

I've just noticed on GoogleMaps that in satellite view it includes little tags of what things are but assume you could download a satellite map without those with a quick google search.

Brands in different languages/ countries can work well too - iconic brands like Nike, Coca Cola.

Also shape of countries - European only perhaps to make it marginally easier. Great geography question and surprisingly difficult.

Which city in Southern England is an island?

YessicaHaircut · 16/04/2020 16:30

We took part in an online quiz last night that had a good round on advertising slogans - they gave you the slogan and you had to name the product. E.g.:
Never knowingly undersold (John Lewis)
Have it your way (Burger King)
Feel the bubbles (Aero)
Etc.

Zoom works really well for picture rounds too - a friend did one a few weeks back with movie posters where they’d removed all the text and you had to name the movie. There was also a round with pictures of flags from different countries - that round was tough!
