To think this is the worst in social media stupidity

I’ve got a friend who puts EVERYTHING on social media, this includes Instagram stories of her two year old daughter stark naked on a public account.
Today she has put a video up of her step son who is also very young with the caption “haha he’s crazy” running about the living room with a plastic bag over his head.

The suffocation risk was well known when I was a toddler about 6828 decades a go.
I commented that it was dangerous and she’s deleted my comment but left the post up. All her friends have just put laughing faces on.
AIBU or is this insane?!

A child isn't going to suffocate when she is right there.

Whilst not sensible, it's a bit of a ridiculous thing to write to your own friend, it's like you are saying 'he could die infront of you!' Which he probably won't.

TooGood2BeTrue · 15/04/2020 13:28

Report her to SS?

Shoxfordian · 15/04/2020 13:30

Just unfollow her if she's annoying

MamaBearLockdown · 15/04/2020 13:36

Some people are just morons.

There were a few people putting photos of children with all sorts of plastic bags on their head "ready to go shopping".

Yes, the child is unlikely to suffocate in front of his guardian (with idiots like that, it's still not guaranteed). But what kind of message do you give the child? That's it's ok to play with plastic and put it on your head? If your first reaction is to laugh and take photos or movie, it means it's ok...

You have to be an exceptionally dumb individual to think it's either funny or acceptable.

recycledteenager24 · 15/04/2020 13:58

too many stupid people in the world already, covid is bringing even more out of the wood work.a plastic bag on the head is funny or okay ? ffs

Desmondo2016 · 15/04/2020 13:59

Please don't report her to SS 😂

Potatobug · 15/04/2020 14:01

Why do you care? You don’t, you just wanna be a hero.

Celandines · 15/04/2020 14:04

She won't be laughing if he does it again when no adults are there and it's right there on social media that she encouraged it

recycledteenager24 · 15/04/2020 14:08

potato stupid response, maybe op doesn't want to later hear the kid has suffocated as his useless 'parents' weren't around. it does happen even as an accident.

Teaching a toddler that it’s funny to run around with a bag over your head is hugely irresponsible. Next time he does it she might not be in the room.

Cabinfever10 · 15/04/2020 14:57

Someone should send a link to this poor boys mum.
It would be the last time that stupid woman would ever be around my child again

MissingLinker · 15/04/2020 15:22

Please don't report to SS. I know a lot of social workers and, frankly, they have worse shit to deal with.

ALongHardWinter · 15/04/2020 15:29

I can see your point OP. Although it's highly unlikely he'd come to any harm doing that when she's in the room watching him,it gives him the impression that it's OK to do it. The next time he does it,she might not be on hand to watch that he comes to no harm.

cocomelon23 · 15/04/2020 15:35

Of course she was in the wrong. A toddler won't know that it's only allowed when an adult is present. They'll think it's ok to do at any time which then of course would be dangerous.

SoupDragon · 15/04/2020 15:41

This.

Anyone who can't see that must be stupid!

WickedlyPetite · 15/04/2020 15:41

Make sure his mum gets to see that video - At least that way if he sticks a bag over his head and suffocates to death she'll know exactly who to blame.

UnfinishedSymphon · 15/04/2020 16:07

Oh my God you nosy , opinionated woman. Mind your business.

and what if the kid does it whilst mum or dad aren't in the room because he's got laughs before, what happens if he can't get the bag off and suffocates? Would she be nosy and opinionated then?

The stupidity of some on here astounds me

LetMeOut · 15/04/2020 16:10

What an idiot... some people will do anything for
Social media likes

TheLadyAnneNeville · 15/04/2020 16:39

Moron. Totally unfit to be a parent.

Leaannb · 15/04/2020 16:51

I agree with whoever said to tell the mother. Screenshot and send directly to the mom

TheSandman · 15/04/2020 17:05

Is she going for a Darwin Award by Münchhausen's?

TheGirlWithAPrince · 15/04/2020 17:06

I saw a picture yesterday of a girl under 1 yr old sat naked in a shower of rose petals ..... I couldnt help mentioning that they are sexualising a young child and its disgusting as cute as the child was.
