I think May will be like War of the Worlds where my Mum's predictions will come true - she feels that this is entirely the doing of some kind of alien life-force sent to earth to grind us down until we accept their superior power.

I said to DH a few weeks ago when I saw the plague of locusts in Africa that it's like we're living in Biblical times, we've had floods, fire and plague of locusts, now pestilence. It feels weird to be living through history like this, books will be written, films made, children taught in schools in the future about it all.

If the zombies are the shambling Walking Dead type then I reckon I'd be okay, if they're the running World War Z sort then I'm fucked and they can enjoy chowing down on me and my dodgy knee.
