"Unprecedented"

"Social distancing"

"Feed the nation"

Lots of these but also grim. Grim milestone, grim figure, grim news. Journalists seem have seized on it for every single bit of bad news

This, and also ‘bleak’

chillichutneysarnie · 13/04/2020 10:50

"In these (strange, uncertain, unprecedented, trying, difficult, unusual) times,"

I see it everywhere and it cracks me up now 😂

Cheesepleas3 · 13/04/2020 10:51

covidiot
Makes me physically cringe!

Umnoway · 13/04/2020 10:53

Stay home, save lives, protect the NHS.

Clapping.

Self-isolation.

Social distancing.

Umnoway · 13/04/2020 10:54

Oh yeah and unprecedented. Probably the most used word of 2020.

pussycatinboots · 13/04/2020 10:55

Any shite that comes out of Priti Patels gob.
Anything that involves clapping.

MigginsMs · 13/04/2020 10:55

“Most of the dead had underlying conditions”

Well, that’s alright then. I’d forgotten their lives matter less.

pussycatinboots · 13/04/2020 10:55

Oh, and my NDN calling it "the Plague"

HillAreas · 13/04/2020 10:56

The word “isolate” in all its forms is giving me the rage. I never want to see or hear it ever again. Angry

MigginsMs · 13/04/2020 10:56

“Wash your hands whilst singing happy birthday twice”

MigginsMs · 13/04/2020 10:56

“Key workers”

MigginsMs · 13/04/2020 10:58

“Daily briefing”

pussycatinboots · 13/04/2020 10:59

“Key workers”
Back in the olden days (last year) these were locksmiths, surely?
Grin

PhilCornwall1 · 13/04/2020 11:03

"We are all in this together."

Uttered by every bloody Minister during a press conference. If they think I believe that, they are idiots. Going forward, economically they will personally be fine and won't give a shit about the rest who are struggling.

Paintforkitchen · 13/04/2020 11:06

Shielding
Self isolation
Flatten the curve

And just the general feel that so many people seem to think they know so much better than the government and the experts. I’m not saying that everything they’ve done is right but seriously, people sat in their armchairs saying the government should have done x,y,z..... as if it’s all that straightforward and no other consequences have to be considered. Really winds me up.

ItsAllTheDramaMickIJustLoveIt · 13/04/2020 11:07

“Flaunting social distancing rules”

Flouting. It’s flouring, not flaunting Hmm

BestStressed · 13/04/2020 11:08

We’re all in this together.

ItsAllTheDramaMickIJustLoveIt · 13/04/2020 11:08

Flouting ffs not flouring Angry

brighthouse · 13/04/2020 11:10

Self isolation, unprecedented and stay at home.

Threelionsandalioness · 13/04/2020 11:10

Furlough and daily death toll x

PhilCornwall1 · 13/04/2020 11:12

Flatten the curve

I think Boris said it better in one of his press conferences:

We need to squash this sombrero

Welshmaenad · 13/04/2020 11:12

"Shielding" just makes me think of sanitary towels.

OP posts:
TheEndIsBillNighy · 13/04/2020 11:12

“You are only allowed to exercise for a maximum of 1 hour a day” argh!!!

Spirali · 13/04/2020 11:13

“No one really knows”

BurgerOnTheOrientExpress · 13/04/2020 11:13

None of these grate as much for me as for the last 20 years everything has been 'Amazing'. Did English teachers 20 years ago stop at the first letter of the alphabet when teaching adjectives?
Other than that is there any other type of isolation than 'SELF' isolation?
