'Lockdown', it's so American and melodramatic - the expression used to describe containment of prison riots or similar, not the restrictions we are following currently which allows for essential freedom of movement and liberty

Madein1995 · 13/04/2020 10:08

"stay safe"

"we all need to pull together"

"we need to keep going"

"covidiots"

"non essential"

"social distancing" (when it's not its physical distancing. We can and do still stay socially connected using technology)

BrightRedBeanie · 13/04/2020 10:08

Protect the NHS

We can't protect the NHS, we can support them. PPE can protect them.

Davespecifico · 13/04/2020 10:08

furlough, herd immunity, self isolation, social distance, viral load

hopeishere · 13/04/2020 10:09

PPE

crazydiamond222 · 13/04/2020 10:10

'Stop politicising x'

Normally uttered by tory brexiteers on mumsnet

Boireannachlaidir · 13/04/2020 10:12

Another vote for "lockdown". Like being in prison.

Also "underlying health condition".

YetAnotherSpartacus · 13/04/2020 10:12

'wet market' - because I want the fuckers banned.

middleager · 13/04/2020 10:14

Abreadsandwich · 13/04/2020 10:17

Yes to "unprecendented"
And to the "stay at home" FB memes usually posted by either SAHMs whose DH are still working or others who WFH anyway!!!

Mummyoflittledragon · 13/04/2020 10:18

Coronavirus
Covid19

LeoTimmyandVi · 13/04/2020 10:19

‘Donning‘ and ‘Doffing’ Of PPE. I never heard it or used the terms before all this - now I don and doff on a daily basis!

blueglassandfreesias · 13/04/2020 10:20

Im sorry if you feel...

Exponential

Mummyoflittledragon · 13/04/2020 10:20

Oh and Brexit. The world has a virus. Can we reboot please??

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 13/04/2020 10:20

Yes, 'Social Distancing' mainly because I think it should be 'Physical Distancing' & also because it's just irritating after the 10th (never mind 1000th plus) time of hearing.

Also, 'Wash Your Hands' adults should know to wash their hands. They shouldn't have to be told, never mind given songs to do it too Angry

MogeatDog · 13/04/2020 10:20

It's not hard, simples. Protect the NHS

Lemonblast · 13/04/2020 10:20

Joe Wickes.

RhymingRabbit3 · 13/04/2020 10:20

Essential and non-essential

tabulahrasa · 13/04/2020 10:21

in these difficult/uncertain times....

I see it everywhere, it makes it feel like a weird cult is happening.

blueglassandfreesias · 13/04/2020 10:21

I want to be very very clear about that

(all politicians precede saying something a clear as mud with the above)

RomCon · 13/04/2020 10:22

Strange times

Flibbitygibbit · 13/04/2020 10:22

Dry cough

lightnesspixie · 13/04/2020 10:22

Stay safe

GoofyLuce · 13/04/2020 10:23

Lockdown! I agree it's very melodramatic!
