  1. taken my dog to the groomer - he's like a walking cloud Grin
  1. bought more Primark 'cosy leggings' for my youngest. She has a few sensory issues with clothing, and lives in these. Typically, they've gone all holey since lockdown, and I'm not sure sewing that fabric would work.

What about you?

2.Been to the Chiropodists.

alexdgr8 · 08/04/2020 01:56

bought a laptop that works reliably, with up to date software.
was v grateful to get this cast-off from my cousin, couple of years ago, but keeps freezing, can take literally hours to access internet, uses windows 7.
had actually decided to go john lewis, as i trust them to advise on spec, i know nothing about computers. was going to go on the monday, their last trading day, when they announced they had closed already, on the sunday. so i was snookered. ho hum. first world problem.

GameChange123 · 08/04/2020 03:24

Got fence paint. Have painted fence already.
Ordered 70 litres of locally made cider (home delivered) that helps fund a community project. We've drunk about 25% so far.

Wish I had bought rat poison or trap - noticed rat coming out from neighbours decking into our garden whilst painting fence.

midsomermurderess · 08/04/2020 03:46

Got my curtains hung. I can't manage on my own and my sitting room is so bright I practically need sunglasses to be in there.

sam221 · 08/04/2020 04:23

I have just read the whole thread and feel rather embarrassed about what I wish I'd done Blush
I would have bought at least a few boxes of Krispy Kreme donuts, I don't even have them usually(couple times a year) but really want some. Apparently they can be frozen, so I would have had a little supply!

If you’re not boycotting m&s... Bought these in black for my dd for school. She has some mild sensory issues and they are very soft. Only in this colour now unfortunately. I know they’re heatgen but are actually fine for the summer - I used to wear heatgen leggings in the summer and they’re actually pretty cool. They are a bit see through. www.marksandspencer.com/heatgen-leggings-6-16-years-/p/clp60125290?image=SD_04_T71_0356T_K0_X_EC_90&color=CREAM&prevPage=srp

Wish I’d got my ddog fully groomed instead of puppy groomed a few weeks before lockdown.

However... For all those dog grooming ones, dd and I groomed ddog this week. She had only had a puppy cut (feet, bits, face) and her hair was incredibly long - at least 4 inches. She was booked to go in just after lockdown so that was cancelled... Started by cutting off rough cutting the excess as the clippers didn’t work. Then used the clippers. Not professional. But has turned out ok. I also have normal scissors and thinning scissors for the face and to blend. Googled a couple of YouTubes first and emulated...

The amazon cheapie clippers I bought don’t work well. It is better to groom sooner rather than later and keep hair under control.

Also wish I’d got things sorted more in my house. Jobs that need doing by workmen now on hold as not essential but annoying. Eg gutters leaking, light not working in bedroom etc.

If you're in the uk lots of places are still delivering or click & collect on a lot of the things people want. Plants/compost/paint/wine/clothes/shoes/etc. Including many places that didn't offer these services beforehand.

Local nurseries here want to get plants out to people as they're struggling to cope.

Local hardware doing click & collect (leading into your car at a specific time) compost/paint whatever

Friends got various things en route to supermarkets.

AllTheseThingsThatIHaveNotDone · 08/04/2020 05:06

I wish I had taken my gravel to the skip
I wish I had sorted out my guttering
I wish I had sorted out some clothing returns
I wish I had seen family at Xmas
I wish I had swam for the last time when I knew it would be last time
I wish I had got DD's hair cut
But none of the above is worth stressing over. There are still lots of things I did do and did get done which I should be proud of. Lockdown just came a week earlier than I expected is all.

Wallywobbles · 08/04/2020 05:26

Bought more breeze blocks and another 10 sacks of cement. And hired a rotovator

Bdayupset · 08/04/2020 05:38

@Mummyoflittledragon why would someone be boycotting M&S? Genuine question Smile

runningpink · 08/04/2020 05:42

I wish I had been able to see my best friend, and just have the biggest hug before lockdown.
Missing her so much. We are FaceTiming but it’s not the same.

Oh and I guess a Sports massage, I was booked in but not before everything shut down unfortunately.

permana · 08/04/2020 05:47

Bought yeast & compost
Had my haircut, not that anyone else will see it, but it would feel/look nicer to me!

Runningjayne · 08/04/2020 06:14

Had my haircut, I've got a full fringe, I cut it myself yesterday and it's not looking great

Sipperskipper · 08/04/2020 06:35

Also taken the dog to the groomer. He looks like he has exploded.

Spent some time wandering around the clothing section of Sainsbury’s to get DD some summery bits.

Had my hair cut.

Had DDs feet measured for new trainers & sandals.

TowerRingInferno · 08/04/2020 06:41

Bought hair scissors
Bought new shoes for the children

But mostly hugged all my friends and told them how much I loved them.

userxx · 08/04/2020 06:46

Gone out for a lovely meal. I'm sick to death of meal planning.

RosesandIris · 08/04/2020 06:47

I cancelled the last appointment at my hairdressers because I felt guilty going into town. My hair looks awful.
Bought lots of seeds and containers
Bought paint and poly filler
Sorted things out with my mother. Haven’t spoken for 7 months and now she’s in isolation.
Gone for a lovely dinner
Bought hair scissors
Bought lots of flour

BrowncoatWaffles · 08/04/2020 06:48

Got my eyebrows threaded. The monobrow is becoming closer to reality every day. By the time this is over I’m going to look like Noel and Liam Gallagher’s sister.

BikeRunSki · 08/04/2020 06:56

Got new glasses.
I had an appt with the optician on the Monday lockdown was announced, but they closed a couple of days beforehand. I’be bern trying to get my eyes tested since January, and had already had to change my appt 3 times for other incident response (I work in flood risk management). My frames are knackered and my lenses are all scratched!!

Mary1935 · 08/04/2020 07:02

Got my work shoes heeled.
I’m currently wearing trainers.

floatygoat · 08/04/2020 07:04

Bought compost and paint. Can't believe I didn't, we all knew lockdown was coming.

Mummyoflittledragon · 08/04/2020 07:11

Bday

buckeejit · 08/04/2020 07:25
