Just text her she's off to her friends for a BBQ but thinks it's ok as it's in a garden.

Yes, idiot. I am fucking tired of these people, tired. We are having a BBQ, me and DH on our own, DD will be home from the front line at 20:30, her BBQ is plated up.

You can sort of see your GF theory behind making her decision:
She has been in isolation so therefore highly unlikely to have the virus.
Her friend has also been is isolation and therefore, same.
But you can't account for the other party people.
You can't assume everyone understands how infection control works.
Everyone there is likely to use the same kitchen, toilet etc.
The host is likely to be at more risk since she'll be handling all the food/left overs/cleaning up.
I would wish her all the best, tell her to have a fantastic time because she's going to need to remember how wonderful the party was when she's coughing her lungs up, or worse - watching a relative suffer.
