That’s it really.

Ugh. What's the rush? They should be waiting until 10 at least.

BillywilliamV · 05/04/2020 07:56

Every day is Sunday now...

cologne4711 · 05/04/2020 07:57

Agree, not until 10 at least.

Fallsballs · 05/04/2020 07:57

I’d shoot them.

Carrie7469 · 05/04/2020 07:57

I agree. I need to do mine today. Going to wait until after 10am

peachypetite · 05/04/2020 07:58

That’s so selfish!

Cheerbear23 · 05/04/2020 07:58

It’s basically like deciding everyone nearby shouldn’t have a lie in .... selfish behaviour.

overnightangel · 05/04/2020 07:59

Selfish.
Bucket of water out of the window onto them

AreWeAnywhereNear · 05/04/2020 07:59

What's the rush? They can't have much planned for the next month or so Hmm

Why do people have to do it on a Sunday when most could do it any day, giving shop workers a chance to rest.

RedHelenB · 05/04/2020 08:00

Just go back to sleep

LittleLittleLittle · 05/04/2020 08:01

Shop workers now work on a Sunday

MinesaPinotPlease · 05/04/2020 08:03

Here in Germany it is illegal to cut your grass on a Sunday or after a certain time in the evening. And I love it.

Bit of a pain in normal times if you are working all week and then it rains in the Saturday but is lovely on tjhe Sunday - but you adjust.

Ohtherewearethen · 05/04/2020 08:05

They probably thought, oh the weather looks good today, I want to be able to enjoy it in the garden later so I'll mow it now. Never mind everybody else who need to catch up on some sleep. So, so selfish. I think I'd have to say something. But I'm a bit of a wimp so maybe I'd post a note through the door politely explaining that their garden doesn't exist in a soundproof bubble.

ErrolTheDragon · 05/04/2020 08:05

Just go back to sleep

It's not always that easy, unfortunately.

Sleep is important to our immune systems, waking people up is antisocial.

10 is civilised, 9 tolerable.

Ohtherewearethen · 05/04/2020 08:06

Oh Minesa I bet your Sundays are bliss! I love that idea. All we ever hear is the hum of mowers and strimmers. It's hard though isn't it, for some, Sunday is the only day off they get

Boulshired · 05/04/2020 08:11

The grass will be damp as well, one of our neighbours spent 3 hours yesterday afternoon burning garden rubbish. Washing and windows I just cleaned ruined.

MinesaPinotPlease · 05/04/2020 08:11

@Ohtherewearerthen

I do like quiet Sundays and the shops are shut too. Is so peaceful.

But yesterday was really noisy - everyone our cutting their grass so we do get the noisy afternoons but just not on a Sunday.

Doryhunky · 05/04/2020 08:12

Found the person and told him to stop. He did and said sorry!

Besom · 05/04/2020 08:13

Oh no no no. Very inconsiderate. Some of us are still working hard at home as well so weekend ilie in s sacrosanct. Although lots of mowing, banging and clattering during the week is a bit hard when trying to work.

Doryhunky · 05/04/2020 08:14

It wasn’t possible to go back to sleep and it wasn’t his garden.. it was an unused drive to garages behind houses.

flowerstar19 · 05/04/2020 08:15

Sorry OP, I agree it is too early to be out mowing - but it is so nice to see a normal Mumsnet post about ordinary things and not Coronavirus!

Doryhunky · 05/04/2020 08:17

Although someone else has now started up further away!

EricaNernie · 05/04/2020 08:19
